My whole back is a tatoo. I got carried away when I was using.I figured as long as I was that numb I might as well get the whole thing inked up. I don't have a pic but the tatoo studio does. Its the Endless Summer logo.I'll see if I can find it.

Tim...show us your tats!! I have a couple on my lower back too! One is a little tequila worm...he is cute...wearing a top hat....ah yes you have to love Mexico!
The other is an angel bright yellow....with the initials of my kids and granddaughter in her wings! This one I got in New Orleans....during New Years a few years back....I was so fired up on pills during that trip I barely remember it!
I want to get another....something to do with the Islands...perhaps a small tattoo of the Islands....I want it on my foot of all places...I heard that the most painful. I am not sure when I will do it.....you know how it is with tats....one day you just go for it!
Kerri, I want a tattoo on my lower back but I'm not into pain AT ALL. I know they say you get an endorphin rush off the procedure, but that doesn't appeal to me either. How much does it hurt?

Gina, I don't do pain either! At all....I have a very low threshold for it...you could actually say I am a baby in that sense.
The first one hurt alot....but it is small and didn't take to long....not excruciating or anything....just annoyingly so...like a itch that you need to scratch but when you do...no satisfaction...a slight burning sensation...like a bad sunburn!
The second one....hell I barely remember...that's the truth! I am sorry to say....I had had alot to drink that day and of course the pills I was on was quite the concoction....the people that I was with down there thought I had lost my mind! The guy did an excellent job but I don't really remember him either! again it was a spur of the moment thing. I am happy I have it, it signifies my mother (my angel, she died when I was 12) watching over my kids!
I had just right combination of booze and dope in me when I decided to do! I wasn't falling down drunk...I was never that way, I could drink most grown men under the table and still be dignified....but my memory is just foggy...booze was never my problem but through some pills into the mix....well you know how that story goes!
I think you should do it. Once your divorce and separation is final....get something that signifies your life beginning again. I had a friend do just that! After being married for 23 years grown kids and 2 grand kids....a horrible nasty divorce, she is in her late 40's and she got a beautiful butterfly...free to fly!
I have only one on my ankle. I actually got it in Kona.
I think these days, tats are much more accetpted. I want to put Kanji on my back or neck, but probably won't because of the whole overly tattooed woman syndrome..lol.
So WHERE are the pics? Make sure we get some plumbers crack in there. We can dream, can't we?
Kerri, I went to a tattoo parlor while a friend got a yin-yang on her ankle. I paged through their art books and I don't think I can commit to one design. I want them all, serially. It looks like the Barbie Lick 'n Stick for me, LOL. (BTW, my friend threw up an ungodly quantity of Margaritas in the process. I was the designated driver.)

What is Kanji? I know what you mean about being overly tattooed. I have to be careful, just because while it much more relaxed...people can still judge, so for "career reasons" I keep them pretty low key and strategically placed.
My daughter on the other hand...could care less where or how many she has. I think she has 4 or 5 now....I must admit they are really pretty. My son has a huge cross with a tiger in wrapped around it on his left bicep and the acronym M T T G. done in beautiful calligraphy.....Much Thanks to God!
Both my kids waited until 18 to get tattooed.....they honored my request to at least wait until they were in charge of their own bodies! LOL
Kanji is the Japanese word for Chinese written characters (or "hanzi"). Here is an example of a back tattoo'd with kanji. Unfortunately, not Tim's back...
I was thinking a bit more dainty..lol. My friend has three of them going down her calf; it looks really cool.
I saw a beautiful young girl with "the beautiful are always cursed" across the front of her chest...wonder if she'll regret that? Another young (I mean 18 young) and Pain and Pleasure on the side of her neck; it looked AWFUL.

lol......try getting your whole back done in one sitting.Even with 6 Percocets and 4 Vicodin that the girl gave me doing the work I was coming unglued. That's a more extreme senario.I wanted to get it over with and she was wanting me to do it in 3 sessions. I have had some work done in sobriety and it's not that bad. BTW........never go jump in the ocean after you've had work done.Salt water is not good.LOL
