Dell is a good brand ....a couple of places to buy- "CompUSA" and "Best Buy" are national stores,and have pretty standard prices.
Its been fun tracking you across the globe from your posts!
Some advice from those well travelled:
Never pass up an opportunity to....
sit down
lay down
drink water (bottled)
go to the W.C.
Safe travels...so cool you are going to meet VW!!

Ginge, I have a Dell and I ordered it directly from Dell online...got everything I wanted, extra memory...it is about 2 years old now...I have an Inspiron 1150 but souped up a bit....I also purchased an extra warranty for it, covered till 2009...
Good luck, I love being able to kick back in my recliner and type away. One note of warning, I fell asleep one night with it in my lap and woke up several hours later with a burn on my thigh....now I have one of those little lap desks, it's really just a half inch thick flat surface, just to keep it off of my legs.
