LOL.......oh, the stories we could tell...
I was glued to this screen 24/7 for months after I found it, and there was non-stop action. It was facinating to watch for someone who had never been to an online forum. It was NOTHING like what it is now. Not saying that's good or bad, it just was.
There is still a lot of healing going on around here, maybe even more. There was so much drama back then, the place was as much a social site as an addiction site. I think now we have become much more a site dedicated to addiction. There are still friendships and lots of OT chatting going on, and there should be, but for the most part, things are more about addiction and the problems surrounding it than they were say 3-4 years ago.
Just MHO.
In my memory, None still holds the record for the single funniest comment ever posted, BTW. <wink>
I was thinking some of it might be too, Carol, that we're learning and growing up and it's kind of nice being a part of and growing up together.....
I know we joke around about AA business meetings and how we learn to play well with others in the sand box....I think I'm getting better, I don't throw too much sand anymore....

Yes! I remember Ali.....wasn't it her that was always talking about "opening her pool" for the season AND mentioned alot that she had a porche!! I also remember her telling a story about how she intervened on a guy that was beating up his wife in public and she kicked his butt! She had also had alot of info on Vitamins and Suplements too. I also remember her sharing a really touching story about her best friend that died from an overdose of Soma.....right?
And...right...it was Gladiator...if I remember correctly it was him and Ali always getting into! LOL....

Here I am! I missed all the fun today...went to a meeting and then did a friend's hair. It was nice to do something normal today and laugh. I love her. Anyway, yes it was Ali and I the last time I heard from her was about 8 months ago. She emailed me. She was really a sweetheart I thought. And Kiwi...I remember emailing August becaue I was afraid Kiwi was going to committ suicide. He was not normal.

The None thing....well, you really had to have been there, which you probably were,,,,it was back in the days of the "Posse" and Bob and Gina.....it was one of those 10 page fights that spilled over into 4-5 different threads that made me miss EVERYTHING I needed to be doing that day. Insults and smart a** remarks were flying left and right...yada yada....you get the picture.....then None comes on and..... Lisa, Good to see you have taken some time to yourself this weekend. How is your mother doing? Reading this thread a few names popped into my head that I have often wondered what happened to them. Not sure I remember what Wendy you are referring to. I was wondering what ever happened to Just Jane and especially Thumper. I use to love reading Thumpers post. She was such a sweetheart. I hope if she is reading this she will let us know how she is doing. Then there was April and her girlfriend. Never figured out what the real deal was with her. Seemed like her story changed everyday along with another poster named Soberpants. I'm just glad I have stuck around the last 3 years and have gotten to know some really great people. Hope you enjoy your weekend and are able to put your mind at ease if only for a few days. You and Jake are in my prayers. Stay strong. Shantel
