Years ago, when I was going through a bad divorce (are there any good ones)...I went to Belize...Ambergris Cay, and stayed in a thatch roof hut on the beach for 10 days. I met a woman who ran a school there, and many, many children. She really wanted me to do the paperwork to be able to work and live there. I was a different person then...much less adventurous, and I could not see myself taking such a courageous step on my own. I came home, and later met the man I am married to now, who is my hero...but I often think of that little school house and those beautiful mayan children.

Good for you Kerry! I am glad you are in a beautiful place and just know that the kind of children who get raised in paradise are gonna be the kind of adults who will do some good for us all one day!

I was just watching a series that Sundance does now called Iconoclasts. It pairs two famous people and they discuss each others work. It is pretty good!
Anyway, the one from last week was Laird (major surf guy) and Eddie Vedder. They are very good friends! Kind of a strange pair??? Laird lives in Hawaii...I really don't remember where, but it was so beautiful. They went everywhere in a jeep and of coursed surfed all over. He has done a lot for children to get into surfing. It was really interesting. His personal philosophy uses surfing as a metaphor for everything...and although I have no surf experience, I could understand it. He is very connected to native spirituality of Hawaii. It was cool!
I watched another documentary a couple of years ago, '04 I think, called step into liquid, all about surfing...it was amazing!!!! Of course, most of it was shot in Hawaii as well...and Santa Cruz, which you mentioned yesterday!
I have never done it, but I think I could...(of course)...hahahaha...I water ski pretty well, and I used to windsurf down in South Louisiana. I would love to try some day!

Something so magical about the South Pacific Ocean and all her beauty...I have to put my feet in there every day...at least once a day...its a strange compulsion...I started doing it very innocently...now if I don't do it my world is just a little off balance...I know I know.....headcase!! lol

Hey Shantel! So nice to chat with you again! Kearra is amazing thanks for asking, she is a real happy well adjusted 5 year old and I adore her. The kids are staying up until at least after the new year...if I had my way they would never go back! So I am going make it real nice ad comfy for them. They will arrive tomorrow. It will be bittersweet...she is planning on taking her back to Canada...her Dad really misses her...and its the way it should be...she needs to be raised by her parents.
I hope all goes well...thats all I can try for...her happiness and giving her a safe and loving home drama and dope free is the agenda...if they can't do that..then I will take her again...and again and again...till they get it right. I only want them all to live happy lives.
So what about you...you a granny again...thats fantastic. I hope you are ready for Christmas and that things are going good for you girl!!

kee-kee, Ny-Ny is almost 2 1/2, Promise is 5 mts and Gage is almost 2 months. They were all just here for Thanksgiving and it was great but I am getting to old to have so many babies around. One would start crying and it would kinda turn into a domino effect. Shantel
Nope, I took the final...I have one more on Thurs. I think I did okay...we shall see. I am borderlineon this class; I think I did pretty well. Hopefully, I won't have to retake it...you need a B for the nursing program, and I was on the border. I will check my mail in a bit.
My friend who died from oxy (suicide or overdose...stillnot sure) and got meds from the same doc that I did (he was my last running partner; I got on sub, he didn't...now he is dead) acutally met Eddie Vedder and the whole crew right before he died. He went to one of PJ's party for his wedding at the Four Seasons...I wanted to meet them so bad because I LOVE PEARL JAM...
