Sorry to butt in on Kerry's thread, but I'm curious, Christy, what are you taking? There are some meds you shouldn't mess with without a dr's care...

Christy, i am taking percocet, i went from 14-16 a day to 8 just since last saturday 2 days 1 took 1 more. i wrote to you about the hot line #. I am still having wd symptoms- fever really really sweaty but to me its way better than cold turkey. you feel like crap half the day and take your stuff the other half. i am taking 2 every 4-6 hours not great but way better than my regular 2-3 every 3 hours i don't know if it will work but it is a start and i am trying. let me know what you decide to do and good luck!
HEy..I just saw this.
I was taking norco. I went a dr, he gave me clonadine...and told me to take 2 pills a day for 10 days for a vicoden taper...that would be it. I gave them to a friend; I was up to 20 pills a day; so I was sick...as a dog...and just took the2 to get through. The clonadine helped; but it made me weak. It is just a blood pressure medicine that you take as needed; you can stop that as soon as you feel better. It helps with the symptoms like sweating, sneezing, chills...that is your atomic nerveous system going nuts from all of the sedation. It wakes up and goes screaming; that is why they use clonadine.
By the 10th day, though, most of the withdrawl was done, except for fatigue. But, 6 months later, I checked into an inpatient. I wish I could tellyou that it kept me sober; I wasn't ready yet.
But, you can do it. Don't use me as an example....use Rachel...he he...she quit; and stayed done.
Good luck; and hang around. And don't this post as an exuse to go back after you have tapered and gotten clean, people, I learned the hard way. ONCe you get clean, stay that way!!!!
