Hey! Just wanted to thank you for the advice. I had the best time. I cannot even believe what a great time I had. We did a lot of site seeing. We went down to the beach and saw all of the destruction first hand. This was my first trip since the hurricane but my husbands 4th trip. So he was used to seeing what is going on down there. It was a shocked, needless to say, when I saw all of the houses that used to sit on the beach are now completely gone. They are somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico. Unbelieveable. We also went down to Biloxi where there was even more damage than in Pascagoula. The bridge is almost completely gone. What is left is all broken up. We had to take the Interstate to get there. My daughter, Katey, is doing her in of the year project on Hurricane Katrina so we were able to get a lot of pictures and video. My mother and father in laws house is pretty much re-done. They still have the FEMA trailer, so that is what we stayed in. The rest of my husbands family are all still living in the trailers, and when I say trailer, I mean a travel trailer. It is so sad to see all of their earthly possessions, the ones that they have left, crammed into a small trailer. Anyway, it really was a great trip. We actually stayed a couple of extra days. If you are interested, I can email so before and after pictures of the beaches in Pascagoula and in Biloxi. It will just blow your mind. These people pretty much lost everything but they, for the most part, remain in good spirits and have excellent attitudes. Everyone that you talk to down there talks about how devasting the hurricane was and how they feel lucky to be alive. They really don't focus on what they lost. Only on the fact that they survived.

I am so glad you had such an enjoyable trip. I was glued to the TV during the hurricane, and still am during the rebuilding efforts.
You sound like a great person who really loves to get right in there and help others in time of need, we need more people in the world like you :)
