4 months is great! Have you been using anything like Suboxone or methadone to help you any? Go onto the message board "recovery milestones" or "success stories" or "recovery diaries" there you will read and be encouraged by people who have come off heroin and stayed off. Keep your goal in sight and make yourself make it! You guys can do this and be a family again. Keep the faith!

find a recovery center, hospital rehab center, in your area. go there tell them you need someone to talk to, find a therapist, group, meetings, IOP, recovery coach, find out ALL of their services and immerse your self in the programs. Get the support system together for you and your husband. YOU DO NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO - You are in a place where you have not been before and need to be supported thru the next steps of staying clean, working, support your household. a place where staying clean is automatic, routine, it takes time, daily planning. instead of planning to find doc, plan on the opposite.

just being clean a few months is not enough. you need to show a life style change. keep it going by participating in long term out patient treatment. Along with a therapist, you will tap into many more programs to help you move forward. If you don't find what you need on the first try, keep going, searching, asking. the more people you ask for help... 1 out of 10 will give you good information.

I to have been clean for four months now but there are days at work I get so sore I buy a bag just to work the next day. If you ever need someone to talk to when your thinking of using feel free to call me. I can share some things I learned in rehab. Five seven four Four zero six Four seven zero seven. Gary. If it wasn't for the pain and how easy it is to get I'd never touch it. It's easier to get then weed where I live. SMH

Hi Jessica. I am a recovered addict. I had an addiction for 11years and have been clean now for 13! It is possible. I was in your shoes once.... I lost my kids and fought like hell to get them back but better then that at some point I realized that get them back or not I had to fight for me! I had to fight to get my life back, to be someone who could look themself in the mirror and know that I AM WORTH it and I DESERVE BETER. The journey is long and hard. I had to leave my husband because I knew that there was no other way ( unfortunately he never recovered .... he died of an OD 1 year after I left) I had to wake up every day and choose to do it, I had to choose me.
I am not saying you need to leave your husband, I dont know you and only you know that. What I am saying is that you are doing great.... figure out where your weakness comes in... does he bring it up or do you? Take responsibility for yourself and you alone. Let nothing stand in your way. Do everything that CPS asks of you no matter how silly you think it is, go to a parenting class without being asked. Participate in Aa, NA, or find someone you are comfortable talking with. I am available if you need to talk to me. Just let me know and I will send my number to your email if you provide it to me.
You are stronger then the drug. You deserve to be happy and you are capable of doing it! Focus on one positive thing you accomplished yesterday and one that you want to accomplish today. Some days it may be that you just want to accomplish getting out of bed and staying sober and that is OK! Do it! You are so much more then your addiction! Think of your slept as a rare statistic... the one who made it out and not only stayed sober but thrived in spite of her addiction. Refuse to be part of the epidemic that is taking over so many and ends fatefully!!! You are worth it!
Jessica, did you hear me? I said YOU are worth it! Go to bed with that thought tonight.
