Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everybody! Holidays are difficult, to say the least. I for one am going to stick to my guns. Methadone ONLY, for me this week. (and that's bad enough) I wish I didn't need any kind of crutch. I feel really bad for those of you who are trying to detox off of anything right now. It's a rough time. I went into rehab right after Christmas one time. A friend of mine insisted that I go. The next day I called home to find that she was in jail. She got all messed up on liquor and crack and got in an argument with a cab driver. She was trying to get him to take her to a cop spot and he refused. She ran him down and pinned him under his cab and he bled to death. She just got out of prison recently. That cab driver will never have another holiday with his family. My friend will never have a peaceful one. How many lives were ruined over that one mistake! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to get off on that. I guess I think about it at Christmas. But for the grace of a higher power that could of been one of us. I could've killed someone easily when I was using.
Peace,
Shirley

Kids are what it's all about. I love watching my nieces and nephews rip thier presents open. And the wonder in thier eyes when you tell them Christmas stories. My Jeremiah is all grown up now but I still enjoy watching him open gifts. Happiness to you and yours, Davey!
Peace,
Shirley
No little ones over here either.

We need a baby. I said that the last few years and in unison my siblings, and Ma said "Noooooooooo". LOL These kids need college first so I guess that's true. That's sweet you still enjoy seeing your son open his gifts.

Davey, can't imagine what DVD the kids were watching. Little girls are a riot together, and they do compare notes. LOL Then they grow up to be MEAN girls. LOL Just like that movie. I watched me some Pee Wee flicks. They still crack me up. As long as it ain't that Dora Explorer I am cool with these kids movies. Good old Home Alone always makes me smile.

Peace
Schreck 1 and The Lion King. Those movies rule.
