I hurt my back awhile ago been treating with pain dr. was taking norco then put on methadone for about 4-6 months had a strange reaction a week ago so they took me off the methadone left me on norco been very sick such as can not get warm always freezing and sweating no fever or other illnesses they ran blood test everything ok this is my 7th day off of the methadone wondering if it could be awithdraw sympton looking for help the doctors not helping still cold sweating and my hole body is crampy. need advise please.

I just read your post about coming off the meth and switching back to norco, you are experiencing withdrawls I hate to say it sounds to me.The methadone is a very strong narcotic, I'm on methadone now and slowly detoxing it's not easy at all but I'm doing it. You may want to ask your doc about a drug called suboxone, it's used to help you get off of it. I hope I helped a little I know a little about meth from being on it.

Yes you are having withdrawl symptoms. You cannot take methadone every day for 4-6 months and then just switch to Norco, that is ridiculous. Did the doctor wean you down to a VERY LOW dose of methadone before just switching you? If not then he doesn't have a clue of what he is doing. Did he give you catapress patches? Or anything to ease the withdrawl for you? I was on methadone for 2 1/2 years and it is a horrible withdrawl with all the same symptoms you mentioned and then some. So I would suggest talking to him about slowly weaning you off methadone and then switching to Norco for pain. Rae
