Thanks for your input. My son was considering this method but thankfullly the clinic was closed yesterday for Veterans' Day! I also heard from his girlfriend that it is 10 times more addicting than heroin. She said it should only be considered by people who have been addicts for years and years who have tried treatment and failed. The main advantage of it over heroin and oxycontin is that it can be taken in a less dangerous way. Any advice from anyone who has recovered from an oxycontin addiction? I'm looking for advice for treatment and/or facilities. Thanks! Good luck all and God bless and help you!

Can you tell me why you would never go back to methodone again so I can share it with my son?

because it gets you very high, mood swings like crazy, HORRIBLE WITHDWRAL, very hard to get a doc to give you a rx for it, makes you sleep all the time, look here is my e-mail (jasmine49@comcast.net) we can chat via e-mail and i can tell you more in depth if you like but people will pay you up to $10.00 a pill, thats how addictive it is and the high is so great!!!! I can go on and on, sorry i didnt post eairler i didn't see this post, i check it thru out the day, sorry about that and also irt messes with your brain, like u become forgetful and slower.. lets vhat some time , , untill then, i was on 100 mgs for nearly 2 years!! OMG, NEVER<EVER AGAIN!!

I thought you were not supposed to get high off of methadone? I thought it was supposed to be for withdrawel.

year right i got so buzzed off of methadone, people even snort it, i never did, but people do it and yes it is used for withdraw but its still a opiate, like sinthetic herion,that is what it is... stuff is horrible!!

Sorry to jump in fellowaddict.......Jennifer how are you and how are things going. How is your boyfriend doing? Let me know if you can. BTW fellow I like the stuff you right about methadone and yes I think it is nasty too.

thanks, i swear it should be banned, i feel so sorry for the people who are hooked on it, they have no idea what they are in fot, i am scared 4-them, with luv fellow addict..
