I am in the process of recovering from methadone. It has been 23 days of hell. If anyone has gone through this, or can answer any questions, or can simply talk to me about this i would deeply appreciate it. I would prefer to speak with another woman, but any information would be great.
I want to know what to expect, and how long before i can start feeling like myself again.
I can't give you any info on that drug, but I can reach a hand out to be a friend !!! If you just need to vent ~

i was on it for 6 yrs, took a year to gradually detox to 15 mg & the from there it was not good. small amounts of davocet helped a lot (when i was essentially cold turkey from the last 15) & my plan was to then wean from them , but all went wrong & i couldn't get anything, except for stuff i didn;t want or i;d be startin the cycle all over again. I ended up in the emergency room ( after making phone calls all ov er the place & could get no help, except for the ridiculous advice to get back on meth) I had called the E room Dr & he said he could help. He called a drug dr & on his advice prescribed me clonidine & phenobarbital, & it helped a lot, though i couldn't work or drive or even make it up the stairs for a couple weeks. It took a long while to get to "normal" but once i had the prescribed meds, the hellish part was mostly over. Bottom line, see a dr who knows something or one that is willing to call someone who knows something. Good luck, G-d bless, but get some help, especially if ur coming off a high dose cold, depending upon ur age & health, it could be dangerous.
