Mocktails

Hi guys
I'm so sick of drinking tea. I need some interesting drinks that are non-alocholic (obviously!!! LOL).

anyone got any suggestions? I don't like stuff that is too sickly sweet.

Co ~ that sounds so good, I'm gonna try it. I drink tons of Gatorade, but I'm probably getting way more potassium and fructose than I should have in any one given day. I also like Fresca!
Hey Idgie, I drink lots of water!! and then indulge with a coke!! with lots of ice!!

Hey everyone - VW I'm a big Gatorade drinker too, also if anyone's heard of Vitamin Water, it's fantastic! And codependentnomore, I love my iced coffee in the mornings too, only in summer though, when it's cold I get the hot stuff. And yeah, like Jayde said, water is the key! I never used to drink water, once I started drinking a lot of it & quit drinking coca-cola (a major former vice!) I lost ten pounds! Now I just have to get rid of ten more, lol...

How is everyone doing today??
Ciaobella, I love vitamin water too...thanks for reminding me of it. I have to go to Lindbergh Vitamins today and I'll pick some up. Did you drink diet Coke or regular, I love diet Coke, but someone told me that even though it's diet when they stopped drinking it they lost weight...just curious. I'm home now if you want to send me an email msg...I'm actually making an apple crisp...when I was drinking I rarely ever cooked/baked and now I love it...it is fun for me and I like that my boyfriend and my daughters enjoy it so much!
My fiancee and I got really into the sparkling mineral waters in the nice bottles....Perrier, Gerolsteiner, Pelagrino...there are so many and when you buy them it seems like something special. You can buy nice Italian sodas and mix them with the sparling water in a nice glass with good ice and a twist if lemon or lime and add some fresh mint...now that's a mocktail! We ALWAYS order a bottle of the nicest water in every restaurant and drink it in a wine glass with a twist of lime...the mineral waters might be kind of expensive, but nothing close to alcohol...treat yourself to this and it is fun. There are tons of non-alcoholic drinks, but they can get high in sugar and calories. Let me know if you try these. CAS.
What about the spring water with a hint of strawberry, peach, apple.

Hi CB, We just got Vitamin Water here, actually Gatorade makes it, it's called Propel! it is soooo good!! loaded with vitamin B's. I'm doing pretty good, it's so hot here today, I'm off to our swimming pool to chill out!! Hope all is well with you hun! oh and as for the coca-cola, I've cut back as well, when I first quit drinking that's all I wanted to drink, but yep the weight came on really quick, We also have a coke product here called C2 it's coke, tastes the same as the original but with less sugar, it's great! but I limit myself to just one a week now!

Big Hugs

VW, Vitamin water is awesome... I esp. love the orange & also the fruit punch. I used to drink regular Coca-cola like an addict (haha), then cut it out completely and switched to water - poof, ten pounds gone. Now I will have a diet Pepsi occasionally, I also still have a thing for Izze sodas - they're all-natural sodas made by mixing fruit juice with sparkly water, it's a local company here. They're expensive & have lots of sugar but so tasty! Apple crisp... mmm... my friend makes that too & it's sooo good. Making me hungry!

Hey LD, I've had that Propel, good stuff too, like the berry one! Also the C2 by coke, think I've tried that but can't remember for sure. That's my alco brain forgetting again, haha. Am planning on sending you an email soon, look for it OK?

Also VW, you've got mail...
Hey Idgie,
I drink lots of Mizone flavoured water, you can get it at most shops,
Hi Jayde one big cyber slap coming up LOL.

I do need to drink more water - its winter here so I drink lots of herbal tea at work. I like lemon mineral water, but don't drink much soft drink (soda). I keep my coke intake to about 1-2 a month as I need to limit how much caffeine I drink.

and I HATE coffee.

I really miss one thing about USA and that is iced tea. You can't get it here, especially fresh made in restaurants. The soft drink choice in restaurants here is pretty lame for the most part which is a challenge for me cause I love to eat out.

OK loved the crandberry idea will try that one. I'm thinking of trying some different fruit punches.

ginger ale, pineapple juice and OJ is a good mix.
Idigie.....it's all about diet peach Snapple for me! YUMMY!!! The best thing too is there are 0 calories.....

Your friend,
Valarie
Jeez, Idgie, no iced tea?? That's not right! lol, we used to make sun tea by the boatload, I've actually been looking for a sun tea jar so I can start making it again. I also like iced herbal teas, the Celestial Seasonings tea company is right outside town so it's real cheap here - I have 8 different varieties of CS herbal teas in my cupboard right now & they're all great iced!

Val, diet peach Snapple, that's so funny - my sister used to drink that nonstop. I always loved the diet raspberry Snapple myself...
CB - haha if I wasn't so lazy I could make my own of course LOL. Actually it took me about 3 years before I liked iced tea - but now I raelly miss it.

See snapple is too sweet for me - can't do it. And the bottled iced teas - well yuck!!!!

Oh cool you have ceslestial near you. I drink a St John's Wort herbal tea mostly, that helps me balance my moods a bit as well as tasting pretty mellow. I think it has lemon grass or something in it also.
Everyone, thanks for the great "soft" drink ideas...I'm going to try some of the mineral waters that CAS was mentioning. Thanks for the reminder about making Sun tea...I need to find one of those jugs too!

Ciaobella, I finally replied to your email msg...I didn't get home from the Doctor's office until 8:30 pm...usually if I'm not at work I would reply much more quickly.
Hey Idg! Hope you're doing good today;)
You've got mail!
Hi Jayde
I'm doing great - thanks for asking :)

take care
Idgie
