i am 26 going through and helping i should say my dad wit his heroin aaddcition. he is now in detox againand almost dies. he was using 30/day and just hgad a heart attack, please respond, im so depresssed

I know this is pretty hard on you but realize first and formost that the help your dad needs has to come from him. This is not your burden to bare. All the best and please stay strong!

its like he makes it MY burden. i feellike ihave tio help him ot he will die, and i have a 7 year old that im not een concebtrating on b.c im overwhelmed with my dad. i love himso much (both of them) if my dad relapses this time, what do i do???? he knoes this is the last time, he wont have family, business, house, everything cause pf hos lies. and PLUS im a softy and enabler. alanon onli works sos so. my herat is just breaking. he had a heart attack b/c of the use . NOTHING! Again, this is his battle. As much as you would love to save him...you can't. It is he who has to save himself. I know it hurts to see someone you love so go through this and it must hurt even more to know that at the end of the day you can't do a thing about it. Now is the time to harden up and set some boundaries...your little one needs you....there is no greater being on this earth than a mother!
