Need To Vent

Ok so I am babysitting my cousins 4 kids: 6 year old, 2 four year olds, and a 2 year old. She was supposed to be here at 9:30 and it is now 10:30 and she still has to drop her mother off and come all the way here to pick them up. I am so mad. I have to go to church at 8 in the morning and then practice a play after that. I guess I am not getting any sleep tonight. UGH, seriously I am so mad and stressed I feel like breaking down and crying. I have 7 kids here and they are not listening. First they destroyed my kids bedroom and I cleaned it up, then they destroyed my livingroom, but I cleaned that up also.

They are really good kids and listen good, but they are just so wild when they are with my kids. I am going CRAZY. I am about to have a mental breakdown. I can feel it in my body. UGHHHHHHHHH, Sorry all, I just had to vent.

Take a big deep breath, and then take comfort in knowing that their mom is on the way. You're very close to a calm and peaceful house, just a little while longer. Can you get your kids to bed while you wait? I'm not sure what to say, I've never had 7 kids in my house. No more than 2 and with the moms. I don't know what I would do. You should sleep well tonight. Hang in just a bit longer. Sending you a well deserved (((HUG))).
Phew, they are finally gone. Man I was freaking out. My kids are asleep, and now I am all ALONE. I guess I am ok now. I don't feel like crying and I am less stressed. Thanks atlas for posting back to me ;-)
Well, get some well deserved sleep. If you go to bed soon, you will still be rested for church and all of your other events tomorrow. Glad you're feeling better.

Who's a nerd? If you're a nerd, I am too:) Haven't heard that word for awhile...LOL
What you were experiencing is perfectlly normal. A friend had a nervous breakdown and was hospitalized for a month so I had one of her kids living with us. He was a great kid, but added to my 5, it was the straw that broke the camel's back and after about 2 weeks I was ready for the funny farm. I had to ask her husband to find another solution and I felt really bad about it. This was 6 kids, quite young and in close quarters daily. Don't know how mothers of really large families manage.
uh oh.

I think I am a nerd, and a weakling. When I have my baby nephew...just one, spend the night, I wake up sore and exhausted. JUST ONE.

That is why children are for the young! Wow....7 kids at one time. Stephanie, you are a goddess among mere women!

I hope you enjoy your day today!

Hey i'm a nerd too. I have always felt that way.

Well I am doing good today. I went to sleep late and I still got up at 7:30 and made it to church by 8:05. I just put on clothes and combed my hair, oh and I had to take my 2 older kids with me because we had play practice after church. I was late for church as it starts at 8:00, but I walked in just as they were singing the first song.

I am so excited, this guy at my church saw me with my guitar and so he gave my mom and I an electric guitar to share. It is heavy though compared to my guitar which was my mothers first guitar that she got when she was 18, so it is almost 30 years old. The only sad part was my mother was tuning it and she broke the last string :-(. So now I have to go and get another one, who knows when that will happen.

I can't believe I survived last night. I was telling my cousin how crazy it got and she told me her house is always like that, so I give her kudos for handling all them kids. I have 3, but my house NEVER gets that crazy. I wanted to have another child, but I don't know now.
Steph,

Great about the guitar! My husband played for years. Have you ever tried flat wound strings? They don't make noise while you're sliding. I love the difference. Nice that people are so generous. My daughter herself was a recipient of a COMPUTER, (no less) when she was posting at a pet web site. She later got the opportunity to visit the person on a trip and thank him in person. The couple were very well off and owned a dog farm. Bless those who have and give back.
Yeah, we have known this guy for a while because he used to live down the street from us. He said he has lots of guitars and even invited me over to his house, but I am not comfortable with that. It used to be his daughters but she stopped playing so she said we could have it. Those strings you were talking about I haven't heard of. I am a beginner though, are they for an electric guitar or a regular one?

I have been given a computer by this gal that is friends with my mother. She didn't use it anymore so she just gave it to me. I think it is nice when people give their things away. I have given away a couple of things of mine, like my cribs and carseats.
Flat wound strings are for either electric or regular guitars. They are what they say they are....flat, not nubbed, so they don't make noise when you slide from one chord to another. I loved the difference in sound. Great that you are passing it forward also. Wish more people would. It's the right spirit and can make SO much difference in the recipient's life. It's a beautiful thing!

((((Hugs))))))
it was a good day, stephanie when i began to learn about my boundaries. still learning and it's great. one of the important things i learned was that the person i was most angry with was myself. :o

can you give me a "hallelulia" in e-flat?

hugs to you ~
