Hi all,
As some of you know I post on the pain pill board, but tonight on Intervention there will be a new episode about Cristy a stripper, who is addicted to alcohol and does alot of crystal meth. I had been told to give ya'll a heads up when an episode about alcohol comes on. So here it is! Although not sure how much alcohol is involved in this situation. I'm planning to watch it tonight.
Love,
Walla
Walla.....I was just curious. Are you addicted to anything at all? I think I read previously that you came to the boards for help with pain but you weren't addicted or recovering from anything. Do you have someone in your family who is an addict? I think I also read somewhere that your girlfriend was struggling. I was just wondering why you would want to be on these boards all the time if you aren't trying to recover from anything? Don't get me wrong everyone is welcome here and there are alot of nice people to chat with. I was just wondering what was the reason for you watching "Intervention" or reading all of our stories of struggle? Just wondering is all?????
Have a good night.
Have a good night.

I missed it.
I missed it.
Uh yeaaah....
I watched it. Oh boy. To watch someone parade their degradation on national television. I don't know what to think. She was partially or totally naked alot of the time. I think the film editors were quite busy. She was also quite psychotic alot of the time, having delusions of her great power (the sister of Christ??). I thought I was looking at a schizophrenic....
Of course the "intervention" went horrible. I am not sure that she is quite sane, whether by drugs or her intial condition or both. And to watch that family. I got see that "love". Well, at least it was harm reduction...sort of.....
Of course the end results are not encouraging and whether the family is going to keep enabling and getting wrapped in the drama, who knows?
The week before's was quite uplifting. There was a guy who was almost ruthless in his quest to get sober. Even willing to relocate away from his family because he had found a supportive, safe, sober living arrangement somewhere else. And lots of meetings. Now that's what I am talking about.....
But nevertheless, I am not watching anymore. To watch the blow by blow degradation is too much. Yes, we see sad situations like that in AA, but we don't have to actually see all the minute details. Of course we also get to see alot of success stories as well, makes it all worthwhile. Today we had a person celebrate 19 years sober.

Thanks for the reminder Walla. I taped it and forgot to watch it. I will do that here in a few. I like that show I just hate that is has so many re-runs.

Walla,
Well I just got finished watching the rest of the show. I had it taped from Sunday.. Cristy did complete 33 days of the 90 days program.. She was off the chain ( hook) so to speak. Had no respect for anyone really. That one was tough to watch cause it just made me want to smack the sh*t out of her..
It was cool that her sister put her in her place when she needed it. Since she only did 33 days her family told her they would turn her in on her outstanding warrants. So they walked her into court & she was offered 2 years in a treatment center by the judge or 90 days in jail. She chose jail.
It never did show her after she did her 90 day jail sentence. Hopefully she got out and stayed clean and sober like she said she wanted too. I kind of doubt it though.. She was a wild one and wanted to pursue her dream of being a stripper. LOL Geez!
