O/t Freaking Mother In Laws!!

omg my freaking b*tch of a mother in law took my 3 year old to get her ears pierced. i'm so pissed off. my oldest didn't get hers till she was 5 or 6. when she asked. i have fought with this women for 10 years over when my daughters should have their ears done. when my daughter was born(oldest) she bugged me forever to get my newborns ears done. how cruel!! no baby should be put in pain for pretty little earings. i never gave in my daughter went 5/6 years till she got them at her will. now when my 2nd daughter was born this crazy b*tch started all this bulls*** over again, and i wouldn't give in. my daughter should have the chance to decided for herself. well mom in law just said f**k it and took her. my 3 year old. she took her and got her freaking ears pierced. OMG i'm so mad. how dare she, she didn't even tell me. my daughter told me on the phone when i talked to her. ohhhhhhhh i was so mad, but of course she was excited so i acted so happy for her. but i want to kill this women.

why are mother in laws such asses?
Lord knows Rae I don't have one.

Man, I can understand your anger. Not even telling you. When you get her alone I'd go into this whole rap about scarification and give her a "Why don't ya just take her for a tattoo". Then again I'm a b*tch.

You're in the right in my opinion. I know culturally this is important to some people. I don't have an opinion on it myself. Piercing I mean. Even in children, BUT if that was my lil girl and even my own mother took her for a dang haircut without asking me I'd have a problem with it.

You showed great strength as a mommy when you feigned happiness for your little girl. Very good. That speaks volumes. Ya done good, but yeah I'd be PO'd too.

I can't believe I am going to say this, but I'm learning to take the good with the bad. Does the woman have any good qualities? In all actuallity I liked my ex mother-in-law. That was easy though. She'd have went and bought herself a pair of earrings and made the kid wait while she tried them on. No biggie though since the lady told us all her own kids included "I raised my kids. I'm not taking care of little kids anymore".

Rae I'm really sorry you are so PO'd. Justifiably. It's good though it won't mess with your sober self.
Rae you did do right by your little one, but I would want to kick that woman's @ss. What she did was illegal and you might consider pointing that out to her. Does she regularly watch your kids for you? Sometimes that blurs the boundaries and they get to thinking they're their own. I would also call the shop that did the piercing and let them know you did not okay this and that they risk losing their license over it when you report it, which I would definitely do.

As for mothers-in-law....she's just a line-crosser. I don't have one as my husband was orphaned at 17 - mother dead at 10, dad at 17 - but I did know my MIL as we grew up together, and there isn't much I wouldn't give for both of us to have her in our lives. My own mom treats my husband like her own son and they are very close...so you just lucked into a bad one, I guess.

Ugh! This post about your little one made me mad...grrrrrr

Peace ~ MomNMore
this women always goes too far. last year she got my 10yr olds hair cut, now it was long as hell and pretty, but she took it upon herself to cut it up too her chin. oh was i mad. she just does what she wants. never tells or asks me. these are my kids, not hers. her son and mine. but she seems to forget that when it comes to stuff like this. my kids live there part time. we moved and i didn't want to rip them outta their school and friends mid year. so till summer they will be there more than here with me. its long story but seemed best for my kids, ya know. but it still shouldn't matter, she still should have asked me. owell.
have a good day ladies.

She wouldn't do it where I live in England because now here no nursery or school will let a child in wearing earrings.
Schools moaned about parents doing this for years until enough kids got their earrings ripped out in Gym or swimming or the little butterfly back things got infected till the Local Authority said no more. My girl has to be 16 and in sixth form college before she's allowed into school with them.
Forgot to say R
Mother in laws Ahhhh and sometimes mothers Ahhh. I know where you're coming from.
