Ok all you parents i need some help! i am stuck with ok i should say am having the pleasure of spending the weekend with 6 of my nieces and nephews..... and wew i am beat! But i have done everything i can think of with food and crafts and............i dont know what else............ but does anyone have some good creative ideas that would be fun to do with them.............. ?

Hey bumps, corney jokes are always the best!!! I'm not sure what i got myself into here, for the past few hours i was making gingerbread from scratch because they wanted to make....... gingerbread sleghs....? I swear i could eat my weight in that stuff!!! it is going to be messy and i think they will have a blast! But my sisters boyfriend just bought them a puppy and it is a menice!!! it has been biting my toes all day so we will have to see if we can get anywhere with her being so rambunctious!!! Good thing i hate dogs......lol........the puppie is cute though.

Pants, Good luck to you I remember when my kids were younger and even now trying to do a gingerbread house. It always started out fun but with 4 kids it always turns into a fight between them. Good thing tonight they are all out of the house and I just have the 5 month old grandbaby to contend with and she is so easy. All she does is smile and she is so beautiful. Shantel

man! i have wax paper everywhere............6 kids from 12 to 4 it is chotic!!! They are proud of me though i even made them fresh butter cream frosting. A perk from working in a bakery!!! good recapies!!
All though i found this little glue frosting pen i have my fingers crossed it is going to be a miracle invention........lol

Pants, Girls are fun until they start thinking they are grown. MIne are 15, 21, and 23 and sometimes they think they can buck up to their mother. Not happening here. Always got to remind them who the queen b---- is. The grandbabies are here for the weekend. Just sitting here wrapping Christmas presents. Shantel

Hey, could you post that gingerbread and frosting recipe? They had the box kits; maybe that would be easier.

Kerry, I think the boxed gingerbread houses are hard to put together. Ours always turned out looking like crap. I'm not a crafty person. LOL on the animal statement that's how I feel. Kids will make you crazy.

Sammy i do that all the time and then when i reilize i am just to lazy to re do it.
My sleds turned out so cute!!! They have oversized candy canes for the slegh runners and then i took a cake decorating tip and did a lot of embelishing all around the top and snow, We used little peeps, (this was cheating) we saved the oval easter egg ones and coated them in red and made santas sack, they were cute!!!
I have to admit though that i did end up using a tig of super glue!! who eats them anywyas.
Little Beach i will post the recepie for you, but to be honeys, the kits are a god send, we used those all the time in the bakery i worked at, but they sell out so fast good luck findidng them, But the tube of frosting glue i bet you could still find and it worded wonderss!!!! They also have a little sprinkle grinder that helps you make the snow shiney............... man i must of been bored!!!
