This morning was the 2nd quarter assembly at my gd's school...she is in kindergarten!! She received 2 awards this morning and I am gushing!!! She is an avid reader (er...rather I am, but she is getting there!) I can't tell you how many children's books I can read with my eyes closed!! I am sure all you moms know what I am talking about!! LOL
The next is a "Citizenship Award" good for her...this means that she is the most helpful and caring in her class...this child is wise beyond her years and is always "problem solving"...miss congeniality! I had tears in my eyes....it really was so amazing to enjoy this moment...clean....clear headed! So l decided I would share my joy here too!!!
LOL....perhaps she has more of her mommy in her than I thought!! LOL..j/k...really!!!
This is her "crew"
she is in the little blue dress! oh and no! I did not make her wear her crocks with socks!! apparently this is all the rage in kindergarten!!!
kee-kee, You should be so proud. Those moments are so special. You're like me you take pics of everything. LMAO about the socks. My daughter is 15 and does that to. With a grandma like you she will receive many more awards in the years to come. Shantel
congrats!!! You are doing her a HUGE service by reading to her. I could also recite Green Eggs and Ham and The Cat in the Hat by heart. I bet I still can.
Thanks for saying that Shantel...sometimes it is hard....I mean it...I never would have thought that I would be the one raising this amazing child.....people will say to me that she is lucky to have me!
I just unequivicably disagree.....I am the lucky one...she is a blessing sent from God! I have no doubts whatsoever about that.
What is really ironic is that my husband and I had 2 unsuccessful tries at in vitro fertilization...and I was an emotional wreck for a very long time going through that and being unable to conceive.....within weeks of that.....she has been the focus of our lives....even before she was born!
Do you think god had other plans for me??????
Jeff....your daughter that you speak so lovingly of often is lucky to have you in her corner...both your girls are!
As I age....(gracefully I might ad...hee heee) I am never so aware of the power that adults have on these wonderful creatures!!! I so love all children!!!
Hope your day is going good!!
I am still waiting to hear about a job that I am praying to get...and have to keep reminding myself that I am now on "Hawaiian Time" trust me.....its different!
So keep your fingers crossed for me and a teeny little prayer wouldn't hurt either!!!!
kee-kee, Keeping my fingers crossed for you. When do you think you will hear something? I had issues arise at my job today that really tested me. Say a prayer for me. Shantel
She is a beauty! I know how proud you feel. My little girl won the "christian character" award in first grade. I was more proud of that then I was of her grades. Your gd looks like a very happy little girl! Congrats to you and her.
