Man, my goosebump song is Hound Dog Taylor's "Sadie". No You Tube for it. Nothing to do with my own feelings but his.

Here's one that always, always reminds me of my relationship with dope.

"Captured effortlessly
that's the way it was
Happened so naturally
I did not know it was love"

This one goosebumps personified but only when Miss Nicks does the cover. "Sweet You Rock And Sweet You Roll". The imagery and the empowerment.Brings it all back. Knowing I could fullfill a boys dream and getting crashed into for my own pleasure as well. Power Of The Coochie Songs always give goosebumps.

..Wild Horses by the Rolling Stones was always a song that i liked and gave me some kind of emotional reaction..but when i heard susan boyles cover of it it brought and still brings a tear to my eye because i think of my mum who passed away in January this year..she was a Stones fan back in the 60s and Wild Horses was a favourite of hers..Robbie..

"She Will Be Loved" by Maroon5..."Desperado" by The Eagles..."It's A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong..."Me and the Moon" by Something Corporate...too many to count.

When my girl was in rehab I made a CD...very mixed stuff...each song contained a line from our personal history, our family history...something from each of us just to her...some sad, some tragic, some corny, some poignant...I still listen to it all the time.
"Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" from Phantom Of The Opera

"You were once a friend and father
Now my whole world has shattered"

Nope, no Showtune girl am I, but my dad loved The Phantom and my DD would pretend she was Christine. They'd do all the numbers.

My friend sang this at my dad's memorial service. I just found all the Playbills from when we saw this and it broke me up. Made me think how it must impact my DD.

Jack, good thread.
Here's one I just found:

This might surprise some of you guys- -well maybe not- - -

This song always make me stop and remember my misspent youth . Sunny summer days and rockin nights that will me ingrained in my memories forever

Days before the dope- days of friends, bordwalk bar parties, and pretty girls, cheap pizza, and warm beer- -

Cool thread jacky-baby. Here are a few of mine "WEAK" by Skunk Anansie "YOU KNOW I'M NO GOOD" by Amy Winehouse, also her version of "VALERIE", "ONE LOVE ONE PEOPLE GET READY" by Bob Marley and the Wailers i could go on forever. Music is amazing that one tune playing unexpectedley on the radio can transport you straight back to another time. xx kitty xx
" Gimme Shelter" is one that always gets me; "Little Wing"-Hendrix and the Bach suites for the lute; esp Prelude in D maj (bmv 998) on classical guitar.

Then there's "Under the weather" by KT Tunstall and "Fix You"-Coldplay; something that I listened to when coming off - it just seemed to make perfect sense at the time.

Kurt Cobain's music gives me the goosebumps (esp the MTV unplugged album) but that's probably pretty obvious.

There's loads. Too many to list. But one that stands out above all the above is "Empty Chairs" by Don McClean (from the "American pie" album). Listen to this one.....
I like most all music. Was a big A.I.C. listener back in the day in spite of my age.
2 of my favorites. I think Layne Staley had an amazing voice.

I think this is a great soundtrack to the feeling of sobriety.
