O/t What Can I Take?

Ok, so first i swear i have tried google!!!!! lol.............

but does anyone know what the list is of things you can or can not take on a plane, i know there have been some recent changes and, for some reason i cant open any of te pages on my computer.....................

We just got back on Monday and you cannot take anything that is gel, lotion or cream over 3 ounces of each and they have to be in a quart size ziplock bag.

That's carry on. In your checked, you can take what you need. You can't take lighters or matches in your carryon or checked either.

Pants, make sure you take your makeup in a ziploc...they took away two tubes of my mascara (the good stuff) because it wasn't in a ziploc...how dumb.

I fly all the time,,,,,, it seems it depends on where your flying out of and where your going........ You can claim what you want at some and put in a ziplock baggie at the security line. They have them there at most places.
I was in Pa. and bought my daughter some chocolate lip gloss just a small one......... they made me give it up but said I could go back and claim it.......
It was just 5 bucks when I got on the other side I bought another one with no problem.....I was running behind and did not want to go back to claim it... Chicago has a different rule than Salt Lake and Dallas and Phil. has a strict bunch of rules....... I would just call the airlines like the other poster said, sense from what I have experinced it depends on where your at.
I have gotten through with water bottles, gel and all sorts of stuff even nail clippers..... that were in my carry on........ it just depends on where your at.
Just be prepared........ and claim it and put in ziplock if you have time......

i went to our local airport, about a wwek before our flight and they told me everything i needed to know and they also gave me a web site....

or just call them...........;0)

they even made my husband take out the brand new GEL inserts for his brand new nike shoes....he got angry.........i had to make him shut his mouth and go along with them because they are doing their job to protect us............
he talked about thoes gell inserts just about our whole flight........lol
he took all this time to get just the right ones for his brand new white tennie shoes.......lol

any thing gel or liquid is a no no................

please look at that site and if you have more questions the folks at the airport are very informative............

also if you take ANY medications, you MUST have it in the perscrition bottle and it has to have YOUR name on it..........

they gave my friend all kinds of hassels, because she put her pills in like a pill container, when she went on a cruise to alaska...............

so when i went to the airport i made sure i kept my blood pressure and heart pills in the bottle with my name on it............;0)

have fun.......................i know your getting excited to pack and fly and everything...............i have so much fun getting ready and packing for a flight..........its exciting for me.........

Thanks Thumper that helped so much!!!! i have mixed emotions about all this but.................. i will never know untill i try so that is exaclty what im going to do............... i would love to stop by the airport to see what they say..........lol......but it is going to be a 6ish hour drive just there, i hope that my hubby will be ok the hole way,, thats alot of time in a car.................all well i can take what comes ..............

You can't take toothpaste, shampoo, etc if it is over 3 oz. This last time, they took mascara and lip gloss because it wasn't in a ziploc...
So make sure you put your cosmetics in a ziploc. Stupid; what in the world is a piece of plastic going to do for safety, I don't know. It really made me mad; but they get a power trip out of it.

lol little beach..........didnt you know that plastic is the new bullet proof?

i think ill just leave all the stuff and live like a hippi and then i wont have anything to worry about that would be a hot look!!! Maybe it will make my hubby stay away!!!

I didn't sit and type all those #'s out Shantel. LOL I swear I don't have that much time on my hands. I actually had that list of #'s saved to my favorites. So I just went there hit copy and then pasted it in this post.

I figured Pants might have a hard time finding the # so thought I would help.

Rae, Have fun shopping I gotta work today. I did get some shopping done Sunday when I had to do the Christmas wrapping booth at the mall with my daughter for her high school cheerleading squad.
