Well to make it this far, sure isnt easy! Just ask COWGIRL! Lots of very tough days, depression, no energy, no motivation, no desire...
BUT at the end of the day, I said no matter what, Im not using drugs again!!!!! From the beginning I wasn't going to make any excuses for using. Like I hear alot on here that i have this injury and that injurt so I need pills..etc,etc. No matter what I wasnt going to use, even though I have LOTS OF PAIN AND PROBLEMS STILL. Infact on May 5th and May 12th Im going for 2 more surgeries.... I already said no pain meds...period!!
You gotta be strong mentally. Thats the key. If you are not strong mentally you will never do it, no matter what! THATS THE KEY!

That's wonderful Kiwi! You're stregnth and determination are admirable. Congradulations.....six months is a huge milestone. Of course, I can so easily imagine you coming and telling us you've made it ten years clean. Hats off to you! Love, Kat

I read alot of your posts and sometimes they can sting me a bit, even if they are not directed at me, but the truth has a way of hurting sometimes. I'm trying hard to take what applies to me and do something about it. Alot of your posts have helped me dig a bit deeper into my own recovery, I thank you for that. I still have so much to learn, folks like yourself are needed here.

I ditto Redd.........sometimes I read your posts and think....."What is he thinking?" "How can he be so mean?"..........but at the end of the day, usually it's the simple truth and needs to be said. Maybe you don't have a good bedside manner, but we love you anyway. Keep up the good work, and please, share your story with us.
