I hope that nobody feels like I am being a bah humbug butthead, but I have noticed something and thought I would bring it to others attention. I may not be the only one who feels this way.

I have noticed that people have added some Christmas avatars in their signatures...I think they are adorable, but some of them are "blowing" up the threads making them more difficult to read, you have to continually move back and forth so that you can read everything on a thread. It's not as bad on a picture thread, because it is off topic and there isn't alot of recovery talk going on, so nobody would be missing an important message.

I know I'm an addict and when I first stopped using I didn't have a whole lot of patience or a good attention span...if I was a newbie I might have been discouraged from reading if I really had to "work" to do it. Please keep this in mind when you are adding these avatars. You may want to do some editing in order to make them "fit".

I hope nobody gets too mad at me for pointing this out.

Thump, you don't have to take it down...probably you have 2 pics on one line...so you may want to move them...

Thank you Janet for pointing this out with tact and respect...I too find myself skimming or skipping over those posts that I have to scroll back & forth but I thought I might be the only one.......

I love how you approach things and always look out for the newcomer....

Yes, I do have my tree up...my first LIVE tree in over 10 years...I am so pleased with it...AND because I am no longer taking up all of my time using and copping drugs I actually got it up and decorated in ONE day...the past 3 or 4 years I told the kids to put it up and I was like...the heck with it...

Thump, sometimes it's hard to figure out who has the pics up that is causing it to "blow"...so a general message for everyone was indicated.

You are wonderful to be concerned about the newbies. You are so right, when I was using AND when I began my detox my patience didnt exist. I was such a mess I couldnt screw in a light bulb.

The Christmas pix and such are meant to bring happiness. No one is doing it to hurt people.
