I came to my mothers and I saw this neat tree she made out of copper wire. I was so amazed that I had to share it with you all.

great tree...both the one she made and the blue christmas tree! i love christmas decorations that are a little "non traditional"...i think a blue christmas tree is fantastic! i always use colored lights...and magnolia leaves for garlands.
i haven't done one piece of decorating yet. tomorrow, i am not going to school (i don't have classes, but definitely have work to do)...but i am staying here and decorating a little. i gotta get in the spirit!

Yeah shes got personality let me tell you. She is gonna be trouble I can tell already. She gets into lots of trouble already. I think I am growing some grey hairs.
Hey at least you guys have a tree. Between work, cheerleading, wrestling, grandbabies, hubbys new job, football banquets and the NFL haven't had time to get mine yet. We were suppose to get it tonight but my daughter decided at the last minute to tell us she had cheerleading practice and we carpool with other parents so there went that. I have a long counter top in my music room...it is about 12 feet long, and I decorate that with my icons, and candle light, and little treasures from my life that make me feel close to God. That is about as traditional as it gets for me. I have some small paintings that friends have done, and one little drawing I did a while back...and some Russian religious icons, and various other little things that I love. Anyway, doing my little altar is the sweetest thing I do during the holidays. My husband and I sit in that room with the lights out and candles lit and listen to music...and yes, some of it is Elvis Christmas music!!! What is Christmas without Elvis???? The King must be present!

Thumper, Long story short after all the drama on the board yesterday I had to sit back and take a long hard look at myself and I didn't like what I saw. Don't wanna get into all the details but my front porch is far from clean. However, all that transpired here yesterday makes me wanna keep it clean. Made me make amends today with the people I love.
