Ot I Am A Great Aunt

Yall, I am just beside myself, I am a great Aunt for the first time, the Mom is my Sisters daughter, who had a high risk pregnancy.

Thank you for allowing me to share.

Rilee Ann 8 lbs 7 oz, 21 inches long, the little fart, decide to stand up at the last minute, hence breech. (sp)?
Did a C-Section, both Mom, and Baby are doing well, Even the Dad who is also beside himself, they lost the first one, so this is truly a blessing.

Oh if you could see my face right now, will be leaving Sunday once they get home to help my sister cook for them, and just do whatever is needed.

Sister just asked me to bring food that will last, any ideas? She is getting the Ham.. I was thinking about cooking a Smoked Turkey??.

I don't have kids, so any help would be appreciated in terms of what can I get for food to hold them for awhile. Not like groceries, but main dishes they can warm up. Both eat like horses, especially the DAD, they are meat, potato type of people. Oh and Salads. they love them.

Thanks so much!!!!

Brook,

Congrats Great Aunt!

I tried to reply on the other thread and was about 2 seconds too late. You have to create a new account and then under "signature"...that is where you can put your "formerly Brookshire".

Enjoy the baby!
Thank YOU!!!!!
Congrats Sharon...so awesome.

I have your number in my phone now...expect a call.

Congrats Brook, I hope you and your family enjoy the recipe I emailed to you!

Thank you so much..

Oh Janet we will,,,,,,,,,
Congratulations Brook, you are going to be the best Great Aunt ever. Take Care and be safe. I will talk to you later. Sorry, I don't do much cooking so I can't give you any recipes. Pot Roast with potato's and carrots is always a winner in my house though. How about some of that okra, corn and tomato soup? That is some good eating, and make a little corn bread to go along with it.
Hey Brook:

Wanted to say how happy I am again, read your post and sounds like you are jumpmg up and down - haha - don't blame you!

Welcome to the world, to your new little family member

Love you,
Jean
