hey Matt, I'm pulling for you too. These meetings really work, you said you were an alcoholic at 19, good you qualify for AA too, beside NA. I don't know much about NA, but i know AA is readily available everywhere and although you have the physical, realize, ALL alcoholics have the phyiscal too, and they used the AA talking/program to get out of it. It can really work if you work it. But just take it one step at a time. Reach out for help as you are doing. Keep fighting your disease.
hi matt, iam, going throu the same as you and having to face the same dission,s i am sick at this pont, iv been on them for two years, i have 4 grandchildern, and i can,t be with them with,out bining on them, how sade at my age to put myself and family throu, this i want to go in rehape, but the drug in me says im not that bade what c---p, my husen is fed up, i don,t belame him he has his on strugks matt what im trying to say you don,t want to be my age still going throu this, i never stared out to whant to destroe my life but i have, and if you have eny faith ask your highter power for some help. i pray we both be able to do this, god bless karen,
Matt, Your problem with pills will only get worse, I promise. You need to get off of them. You can't run a business if you are dead. Don't you think that might disappoint your partner? Or how will you feel when you are so strung out that you can no longer run the business? Then you end up losing it, and you are still on pills, your partner hates you and now you really have NO money.
I used to love the energy and focus they gave me. For so long, I could see no downside. Trust me, the energy will disappear and the only thing you will be able to focus on is getting more pills.
Sell something or take out a loan if you have to. If you needed pills you could find a way to get them. Use that same determination to get the help you so desperately need. You can get outpatient detox and go to meetings at night. Where there is a will there is a way. I wish the best for you.
