Paging Redd.....

I wanted to ask you something. You are hard to keep up with girl. I thought I was a Bunny hoping all around the board,LOL
Anyway if you would tell me the schedule you were on with suboxone. I mean if you can remember. The reason I ask is my ex-husband has been on sub for 4 weeks. He started at 8 (for 1 day) then went to 6mgs for a week, then 4mg for a week and now he is on 2 mgs for over a week. Something like that anyway, I talk to him about you because he says he ONLY wants to be on it for 10 weeks. Possibly less than that. I always talk to him about you and try and give him examples of what you did. Like didn't you go all the way to dissolving dust under your tongue? His DOC was vicodin he was taking 3 pills a day. He says he has no desire on sub to take vicodin ever again.
So tell me what was your schedule and what were your symptoms when you quit. I know you were having other symptoms but when you quit how did you feel? Could you sleep? Did you have restless legs? Rae

I tapered about every 10 days. Started at 8mg and tapered to 6 to 4 . Then to 3 and 2 and 1. At 1, I tapered 1/4 every few days or so. I felt fatigue when I went off completeley, but I also put that with pregnancy symptoms.

Its been about a month now, and I feel Ok. No leg or stomach cramps either. For me, sub did what I had hoped for. Does he have a plan for when hes off sub?

Redd
To answer you question I don't know what he's plans are. He is a over the road driver. He drives just in the state of Florida and he has a werid schedule. As far as meeting go, he has never been and I doubt he would go. I don't know though. I talked him into getting off vic's and into taking sub. Maybe I can work on him about meetings and couseling etc!
Thanks for the info. I will pass it along to him. He has been through a methadone and Vicodin withdrawl and was worried about taking sub at all. I would feel horrible if he goes through what some people on sub has gone through. Just because I was the one the suggested it to begin with. So he will do what you did and we'll see how it works out for him.
Have a good weekend Amy! Thanks again! Rae
