O/T but in case anyone cares our Flyers made history this evening.
Admittedly I'm not a hockey fan, but it's a big deal. A really big deal. I have neighbors running around crazy. My nephew who just moved down South is calling all amped up.
Presently our Phillies (baseball) are playing the Brewers AT the Brewers and in the stands some people have on Flyers shirts. That's cool.

Ya know I know for a fact the Stanley Cup was in a car during the parade. I have a photo of it. Well, I leant it to a sibling and I BETTER get it back. It's an amazing photo of someone real close to me that was in that car with the Cup. Guarding it.
Man, NOBODY went to school. I don't even think the Nuns showed up. People hanging off telly poles. Standing on buses. The honking went on all night long.
I still ain't gonna be a bandwagon jumper. However, I'd be really thrilled for the die hard fans. Meantime I had to watch them Cubs beat us tonight.
I'll send ya Amtrak, but no way am I going into that craziness.

Hate to break it to you but NO ONE beats the Blackhawks this year. As a child I became a fan during the 1971 Cup finals when they lost to Montreal and been ever since. I will finally see them win it all this year, they are playing that good.
Now if the Minnesota Vikings and Brett Favre can put it all together this upcoming season and win it all I can die a happy man.

I'll go easy on ya Bryn, seeings how J Rollins is on the DL .......again (sigh). I have to say that I can't believe that the Phillies could not find a way to trade for Halladay and keep Cliff Lee.I heard that they were not sure they would be able to resign him after this year so they got what they could for him while he had value. I'm sure he would have taken less to stay in Philly, a contender, than go to a team with no chance.

NJ Devils and The Rangers should be watching very carefully- Ok -the Devils win once in awhile- - but NY -sh8t > every 40 yrs aint going to do it in this town.
If it wasnt for the Yankees to cover for the mess that all the others make- (Knicks, Rangers,Islanders, Mets...)
This would be a sad sports town
but even with this rough spot-- we all know,come October, the 28 world series flag will be ready to be put up next to the 27 that are already there!
