my friend is taking methadone and wants to do poppers is there a risk with this?
i was worried that it might be harmful because he takes methadone (60ml)

sorry really didnt want to offend...i am not looking for ways to get high but just wanted to know the risks of taking poppers whilst also taking methadone.
As i thought it might be more dangerous whilst on the methadone as i have been reading about poppers on the internet and they say there are dangers of low pressure and stuff.

poppers alone are dangerous, methadone alone is very strong! i would not even consider mixing the two.
please encourage your friend to seek sobriety, not poppers/methadone.
sobriety can be achieved, you are new to this board and have come to a wonderful place where being sober and getting help are the focus. give it a try... drugs are a losing game always. jewels

Why else would someone do poppers while on meth if not to get high? You are in the wrong place if you are looking for ways to get high and not die. But if you are here to learn to live sober, welcome.

Actually if anyone could, I think it might be a positive thing. I have kids and if there are drugs unknown to me I'd like to hear about them so I can know the dangers.

When I was doing poppers it was a little bottle of liquid that you inhaled deeply and got a short lived rush. It was fun at the time but they mess with your heart rate and blood pressure. Very dangerous. I don't know if they even sell them like that any more. It used to be called Rush.

Their only legitimate use is RECREATIONAL .
I have no ideal what the effect would be with methadone nor do I really care to know.

I just looked it up, Kat and apparently that's what it's called now, Rush or Gold Rush. It was originally created to treat chest pain. The article said it wasn't an easily obtained drug in the U.S.

I remember rush from like 20 years ago. little brown bottle w/ a little white ball in it right? man the crap we used to get high...seems so crazy now
