That poor, sad lady. I'm a big Anna Nicole fan.
Now she's dead and her son is dead. Who will raise that baby?
Another tragic person deceased. I feel bad so many people kicked her when she was down. What's up with that?
I really liked her too. I watched every episode of her show and she cracked me up. Not only stunning beauty, but funny as hell. Hopefully one of those dudes will step up to the plate and assume responsibility for the baby. I'm sure she'll be fine. I just hope she stays on the right roads. MANY people will be after her money when she inherits her Mother's wealth.
Is there really a major reason that we all should even know who this women was-? - What really made her famous ? Why was America obsessed with this woman's life(and death)
A tragedy,no doubt --but---
. The media loves to follow people who more or less turn themselves into a public train wreck.
Unfortunetly, this was probably a fragile person -who dealt with a lot of personal issues that were exploited.
Whatever happened -as long as drugs are part of the story, the ratings will soar-
Why is it that our culture puts "being curious about" celebrities, ahead of real issues that effect our everyday lives. Look at every grocery check-out line for the gossip mags, there are entire TV stations devoted to it ,and now a giant trend ("reality" TV) that offers to make every person into one of the pointlessly famous.
Fame is now more important than what you are famous for.
I know we all just want to have common events & people to talk about >and in moderation it's no big thing. But lately the Paris Hiltons and Britney's of the world seem to overshadow things like Iraq, AIDS vaccines, Civil wars in all the 3rd world countries,or a mathematician finally solving the Poincar conjecture
Please dont read this wrong, I do feel bad(sad) for this woman. She did have a tough life and was forced to live it in a fishbowl for all to see. However,I do question our priorities when it comes to our interests.
For all her problems, and terrible tragedies that she had to deal with- we the public couldnt have made it any easier for her.She brought only so much on herself, societies obsessions with people like her usually expedite the inevitable.
Maybe now Ms.Smith will finally get the peace that unforunetly alluded her in life.
respectfully,
jack

Jack, I'm kinda with you on this one. I don't know an awful lot about her, but I got the impression that she was a very sad person, who pinned her hopes of wealth and stardom to make her happy. And she lost sight of the important things in life in pursuit of this fantasy. Her fame was more as a freak show, than for anything worthwhile, and the fact that she never was able to tackle her drug issues probably reflects this.
I know that when I was in the grip of active addiction, I used to fantasize that my problems would be solved if only I won the lottery, or met a fabulously wealthy man who would make life easy for me. But when I look back over my life so far, I've realised that some of the happiest times were also the most poverty stricken. I remember when I was doing my degree, especially the last year, when we had less time in lectures and seminars and more time to spend working on our own endeavours, I lived off 50 a week which I earned working nights in a home for children with special needs. And I lived in the back of an old Luton Transit van. I have such good memories of taking my books with me in a basket, and walking along the river bank with my dog, settling down in a sunny spot, stripping off naked, and spending the day reading my books, basking in the sun, skinny dipping in the river, watching the kingfishers and feeling such perfect peace and contentment. I've found that money has no bearing whatsoever on how happy we are. It's how good we feel living in our own skins that makes us happy. A million pounds in the bank, or a new pair of breasts, they're just like sticking a band aid over a gushing artery if you have a drug addiction and serious self-esteem issues, like Anna Nicole appeared to have.
Just my thoughts....

Jack, I hear ya on that.........as in Anna Nicole wanted to emulate Marilyn.
Well, Marilyn actually was a superb actress......she could do comedic stuff, and sincerely like studied and all......it was US who made her a sex symbol.
Well first the Powers That Be in Hollyweird, but she however did have talent.
Anna Nicole was famous for being famous.......as is as ya said like paris Hilton.
Girl got no talent.......does she sing, dance, act, heck does she even play a darn sport like the other "HERO'S" America worships?
So yeah unfortunately the only thing this Anna had in connection with Marilyn was her tragic demise.
Also, I thought all the kids in Iraq are being killed at such a alarming, horrendous rate and we're fixated with Anna, Anna. All the humanitarians out there and we ignore it. Ummmmmmm, nix Poprah on that. Ugggghhhhhhh!!!!!
Personally I always was interested in a chick who came from middle class, and had a baby young, and BAM she's in Playboy. Then she meets a 80 some year old man, and BAM he marries her. Girl's in the money. Personally I thought she made that man happy. Seriously. Then came the other stuff, and how she gained weight she had to go model for Lane Bryant's.
Kind of a rag to rich old men story to Guess to Lane Bryant to CRAZINESS GALORE!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a self proclaimed tabloid freak so I am guilty. I really wanted to see that chick rise up though.
Oh well Whitney looking GOOD! YES!!!!!!!!!!! Man I worried about Whitney, and she does have talent. Big time.
