Pain is no evil, unless it conquers us.

I did something I never thought I could do yesterday. I went and got two root canals and had no pain pills before, during or after. There was a time when I would have drawn this out to a 3 month process claiming that it hurt too bad to work on. That I would need to do a couple of weeks of anit biotics and pain killers. Then I would have to be dosed up during and for quite a long time afterward including my root canal getting infected and possibly dry sockets or something LOL.
This time I went in for x-rays. Made my appointment, went in got them fixed and went back to work. Had no pain slept like a baby and other than some slight swelling I feel fine. There was no excruciating pain and I handled it. Just for today I am proud of myself for handling something that before I would have made into a major.

To tell you the truth I had no anxiety or anything. The thing that was different. I wanted to have the work done. I had two teeth that were so UGLY. they were on the side but still near the front so every time I smiled it was evident the drug (meth) that I had abused. I was so excited to get rid of the ugliness that I was just grateful to God that I got a good tax return and some insurance and that is where every dime of it went. But money well spent. Thank you for understanding the amazing thing that just happened to me. I was relieved of anxiety and of pain. I just found a fabulous dentist and found out that I didn't need pain pills to get through a dentist visit. What a miracle! I still have a ton of work that needs done to my teeth, but I made it through this time.
