I know what I have to do today in a big way and that is have faith over fear. I have to go to the DENTIST!!! and I have the ugliest teeth on the face of the planet. I will diminish my fear of this by first knowing I am spending my tax return on my teeth and greatfully I am starting to get them fixed finally! So I will take a lesson from Rosa, there is someone who made up her mind. I am keeping a positive frame of mind in this and other things making up my mind to do what needs done.

How did it go at the dentist's yesterday? I'm very sympathetic. I have dental phobia, too. Is your dentist aware of how frightened you are?

I told my dentist about the abuse and the addiction. He's a wonderful man. He lets me have control of the entire experience. I tell him when I need a break or, I can walk out until the next day if I have to. Knowing that I'm not trapped in that chair suddenly makes it easier to sit through the procedure. He won't have nitrous in his office, and with him, I don't need it.

I too have dental phobia! I cancelled an appointment the same week I broke my ankle...last thing I wanted to do was sit in that chair with a broken leg!

Good for you, Miss Jane. I am glad to see you doing something for yourself. What are you having done??
I went to the dentist yesterday also; seems I have "internal bleeding" in my front tooth. There is a fracture in it. It is starting to gray ever so slightly.

Now, I have to get a root canal, and crown the two front teeth. I am so bummed; my teeth were one of my better features.

I just hope they can make it look real.....

Jane, Have you heard from Amanda lately? Just wondering how she was doing. Last I read you two had went to a meeting together. It has been awhile since she posted. How about Doog have you heard from him? Hope everything is well with the both of them. Shantel

Good to see every one posting to me thank you. Feeling a little alone tonight no kids, but I do have the dog! She is outside though. The Dentist went really well I have to have major work I have s***ty a** teeth. But the good thing is I am getting the meth tooth replaced wich was a front one. I have to have a root canal and a porcelin crown. But I am actually excited I have had this ugly tooth, (and been not high enough to not give a s*** for 2 going on 3 years) I told him of my problems the meth was obvious anyway an he is just going to give me motrin 800 which I am cool with and there was very little anxiety. I think just because I knew I didn't have to get any work done. The real anxiety will come not this Tuesday but next. I am so happy to not have that meth tooth it was a tale a tell sign of my past. So another hurdle soon over....... well until I tackle the rest of my mouth. But one thing at a time. It was so good to log on here and see you guyz response tonight. I think you saved me once again.

Jane, good for you. I had a root canal, and it wasn't that painful. It was when they pulled it....now that was hard to deal with.

Anyway, I am glad you are gettingyour teeth fixed.
