Raid Detox

Well thanks again,
I made it through work and didnt cry until I got home. Pretty good I thought. It was a busy day and we had an arson to top off the afternoon. I just need about another week or so and the good feelings will come back. This forum has been a Godsend for me.
Thanks and God Bless!
Mike
Hi there,

My opinion only here, and we all have them, but I would recommend that you read the thread "Your brain on opiates" posted by Tim about a week back..then also recommend you read the book the "Mood cure" and "The craving brain"

These books explain what is happening to your brain, why you have cravings, what supplements to take etc....Understand however that this is addressing the physical problems you are and will experience and does nothing to address the spiritual side....

I am still detoxing from a narcotic, that was also started for severe pain...right now this is helping me a lot, reading, posting, learning from everyone else on this board...You have to do what works for YOU.

Wishing you all the best,
Ali
Hey Mike,
Welcome to the board. Looks like everyone has given you great advice. Congrats. on making it through work today! I do know alot about knee pain. Am trying to put off a knee replacement til I'm a bit older. Now in the throws of a decision about whether to operate on my good knee which isn't so good from all the compensation. Arugh. Smile. Anyway, everyday it will get better and better. Your energy levels might not be up to par for awhile. Hang in there. Keep us posted.

peace,

Good morning Mike,

Checking in to see how you are doing today. I feel for oyu, but you can get thru this and hopefully your family will come to understand. Thank goodness I was not working when I went of my DOC , nad didn't want to leave the house for anything. I cried all the time.
Thank goodness my usband was behind me in my detoxing. He went to the herbalist and got me some great herbs to take. I still have days I don't want to leave the house, but I feel it all still part of it..some days I have great energy some days I don't.but that mostly when I don't get much sleep the night before.
Hang in there, everyday day is a new one, and a day to be proud of yourself, hopefully the family will come around. I use to tell my hun at night about the things I read on here, and what others were going thru, so he knew it was for real..

Keep your chin up and stay strong...

Hey Fisher, I did a rapid detox off Heroin and I suffered the chills something terrible for a couple of weeks after. I was so weak for the first week or two but after two weeks, things really started to improve. After 3 weeks, I was feeling great. It will all come in time, you are doing great, well done and hang in there.
