I think I am onto something here:OK Using Opies derails the Neurotransmitters in yr. head.Yr. endorphins(natural pain killers) r derailed but they will return. To facilitate this (I had VERY GREAT results in 2-3 weeks) you need to Eat to Rewire yr. Brain.I felt good physically so the mental fight was easier.Neurotransmitters u need to re-activate: Norepinephrine: the "good" adrenaline-protects your newly resurging endorphins(natural pain killers Opies harm/destroy) from premature destruction.Serotonin: impacts on mood, helps u relax, not be depressed. Also helps release Melatonin, the sleep-helping neurotrans.Dopamine: helps to release endorphins,yr natural painkillers.Enkephalin:helps produce feelings of calm, well-being, pain management.LACK of it can cause feelings of inadequacy, fear& inferiority.NOW THE FOOD:Try to eat(food allergies, lactose intolerances excepted, ;use yr common sense, folks):avocado/apples/bananas/beets/brown rice/coffee/celery/chicken/cheese/cucumber/eggs,esp.yolks/green vegies/wholegrain breads/fish(tuna)/fennel/figs/ham/honey/ milk/legumes/lean meats/nuts(walnuts,almonds)/pineapple/potatoes w/skins on/pasta/radishes/sweet peppers/spinach/tomatoes/turkey/tofu/wheat germ.. Seems pretty basic, nothing icky or real goofy, right? SUGAR: big ask, I know but sugar is an adrenaline kicker.Adrenaline overproduction can make you have symptoms like:chills, yawning, runny eyes, nose, fatigue, loose bowels, tension, exhaustion.Sound familiar, kids?We want to tamp that Adrenaline back & for me eliminating sugar did the trick. I still felt those things but nowhere near as deeply or badly.ORANGE JUICE is really key here, too: a sweet, but a good kind, also Vitamin C,which is badly needed by us all I am betting. Vitamin B6 is constantly mentioned in the literat. I read but I haven't tried a suppliment.I belive in getting yr. vitamins from yr food-safer & more fun.Only Vitamin suppliment I will SWEAR by is MAGNESIUM, which will ease the cramps & all over body tension, cross my heart its true;but don't take too much!! Follow the bottle advice, ok?THIS IS NOT THE ATKINS DIET it is a GUIDE to maybe help you as it sure seemed to help me.Mild exercise (no crazy Iron Man stuff) like walking 20 timed minutes a day, increasing to half an hour or so, also lifting light weights helps get the endorphins back up & running. This discovery is the result of me being strung out for 20+yrs.Not a big user, as in quantity but a horribly insiduous longetivity.Could never afford rehab.Had to work it out by following the Wm.Burroughs school of Self Experimentation, where we are our own best Guinea pigs. I deeply belive this could help people, understanding exactly WHAT this drug does to you, & ways, relatively cheap & accessible to all,of feeling better physically so the mental fight is easier, or @ least not as bad. Ideas, Feedback, Anyone? Do they teach this approach in Rehab? Hope it helps-it can't hurt.Bless all
