Hi everyone... I got my bloods results back today... everything's normal... no liver damage... so one less thing to worry about... not celebrating with a drink though... lol... bad joke... It's something I'd have done in the past though.
Got a life to live... want to get off this crap for good though... still waiting for the Hospital to give me an appointment...

Hi Izzy....I am so happy that you don't have liver damage. It's a crazy thing. With me it just was a matter of cleaning up before I had blood work done. If I was really hitting it hard my liver and pancreas enzymes were through the roof. Glad I don't have to deal with that anymore.
Why does it take so long for the Dr.s there to prescribe anatabuse? I can call my family doctor and he would just call in an RX.

that's greatnews. How are you going on other fronts? Any thoughts of attending meetings? Or are the dogs etc. giving you enough distraction from home and drinking at the moment.

Very good news about your liver!
Thats one less hassle you have now,
Mine was like Vals the pancres thing, had to have a test once for diabeties, I cant handle blood tests and this test was 2 bloody blood tests 2 hrs a part, man Im not ever gonna hammer my liver again!
Good luck at the docs when ya get in,

Good news Izzy! My pancreas and liver panels came back all jacked up when I was out there...and my triglycerides were through the roof...my liver was doing the "tuna" for about ten years...I had a chronic dull ache in the upper quadrant on my right side...It would only feel better if I drank, or so I thought...everything took a while to clear up, but now everything looks pretty good for me...still scary though....
Hey Izzy sweet news on the liver, thats one less on the list and a bit more gratitude to head out and sort the rest of the list one day at a time. You are doing really well, and the art will be a good release and did you say once that you wrote poetry? as poetry is really good as well you could even combine the two.

Hi all... I went to that art thingy today... really fun actually... had one of the blokes there call me his new best friend... that's the first time I've laughed with anyone outside of my home for about 2 years... they made me feel really welcome... and "I have to go back next week or they're gonna send out a search party for me" Lol... I think this might even help me get off the drink coz I came back really happy and I drink when I'm depressed...
I am happy with the dog grooming too... making a bit of money on the side... although they only need doing every six weeks or so...
I don't know why it takes so long for me to get antabuse here... the hospital has a four month waiting list and I've waited about 2 of those... so another two to go... in the meantime I see the Psych and she just really got to me the last time I went... you know just saying everything I know already I don't need it all spelled out in my face I live it you know???
Anyway... yeah I'm happy about the results and it's one less worry... I'm surprised about it actually because I have drunk quite heavily for about 5 years now... the last two being the worst...
