That's awesome--they're beautiful animals. I absolutely LOVE dogs. I miss my greyhounds to death and Sammy said when we move into our own place I can rescue another greyhound. :)

No, I'm not kidding. Greyhounds are the most placid creatures ever. Extremely affectionate and loving. Unfortunately many of them suffer incredibly severe abuse by their racing owners. They only race until about 4 years of age and then they are dumped or put to death. They live until 12-14 years of age which is old for a bigger dog. Slowly people are coming to realise what beautiful animals they are. They make great pets. They are such couch potatoes. They only need a sprint around the backyard for a couple of minutes and then they're done for the day, not kidding! Very lazy. Incredible creatures. I miss my greyhounds so much--Daisy and Lefty are with my ex. If ever I visit they jump all over me, so excited to see me. I miss them so much. :(

The dog's not a pup but he is young unfortunately he was already named (sabre) he is stunning &gets on well with my other dogs.
I just ha to put my only dog down 2 weeks ago. A male collie that I got when he was 2 yrs old. His name was Echo. He was due to turn 14 this month. My heart still breaks. At one point I had 2 collies and a sheltie. He was the last of the 3. I travel a lot for work so having a pet, especially a dog, gets difficult at times. I've had to turn work down , a few times, because I could not find anyone to watch him. I'm thinking of just doing the foster route as I feel it would give me some inspiration to get clean ( again) and stay clean.

I can't believe I've painted such a picture of Sammy being a control freak because he's not! He knows I love greyhounds so he was the one who suggested getting one when we move out of the place we're in now (because we're renting at the moment). At the moment we have two dogs--Sammy has a german shepherd called Mira who is a darling, and I have Joah, my crazy jack russell terrior. :)
I'm so sorry to hear about your companion, Kevin. Fostering is a great idea and something I've wanted to do before, too. Whatever you do, make sure you're in touch with animals--important for the soul!

I,VE got a wee staffy called Diesel whos not gonna be happy soon as he has to go back and stay with my ex,n,kids..He does love them especially my daughter but prefers staying wi me in my flat..i,m going travelling with my job,there r 6 jobs into Europe coming up and i,m pencilled in for at least 4,maybe 5...Its a hard life at times....ECK

In scotland most police dogs are german shepherds( or Alsatians)We call them Al-get-you's scottish thing eh Eck LOL
There's got to be something said about little dogs since my little dog is the reason I'm still alive today. At one point he was all I was living for, can you imagine? I never knew a little dog could be so close to my heart.
Im talking about paris hilton-esque dogs that live in handbags or the ones that are groomed bald jack russells have character!
