I knew i liked you for a good reason..lol..What a nice thing to say..and its appreciated more than YOU know...How is your daughter?? Having serious pain history myself; i think about her often and hope she doesnt in any way feel that she "failed"..her case scenario is completely different and she cant and shouldnt compare her situation to those of us here..
Regardless..shes so lucky to have you as her Mom....your love and support must make all the difference in the world to her...and let her know i said Hello, if you could..

Thanks for asking. I'm sorry to say that she's still in serious pain and taking meds to deal with it. I sure can't blame her! She also took a leave of absence from her job as manager of a pet chain store and is going to physical therapy 3 days a week and exercising every day trying to build up the back muscles, but hasn't noticed much change. She says she's worried that when she goes back to work, she'll be at the same pain level as when she left. She was on pain patches and a TENS unit every day and was very depressed crying each day. It's a pretty helpless feeling loving her as I do and knowing the pain (both physical and mental) that she's going through and having her be so far away. It's a sad, sad story. She also has abnormal cells that they want to burn off in her uterus, but she can't afford to have it done. The tests alone were $400 and it's all on plastic (and that was WITH insurance.) Wish I could tell you happier news. Sorry for your pain, too. I pray each and every day for all those on this board who have so much grief in their lives. This board is such a help to keep our spirits up and let us know we're not alone in our misery.

Oh my God...i am SO sorry to hear this...i cant bare to hear she is suffering so..has she tried this new anesthetic block??? I just saw a friend of a friend..that has debilitating pain from an amputation ( diabetes related ) and she was on high amounts of some kind of morphine or something...they inserted one of those blocks and her pain levels were brought down 80% on the pain scale..shes now being weaned off her pain meds...
Apparently a needle is inserted and anesthetizes the area with the same type of anesthetic one might have at a dental office for freezing..you must wear it during the week until the anesthetic wears out and then another is put in...
Now im not 100% sure about how long it lasts, but certainly it would be worth asking about...and if Pets is still being seen at the Pain clinic, they should know about it...
I will let you know what else i can find out about it, but do ask Pets to look into it as well..cant hurt and may just help...
As far as having her uterus scraped, oh my gosh the poor girl..surely they would find a hospital and clinic with a sliding scale to get this treated? Wouldnt leaving it pose her at greater risk?? This is all she needs..im so sorry to hear this....
