I'm sure i've asked before but there are quite a few new names on the board recently so I'll give it another shot.
Does anyone know of anyone - an addict - who is also epileptic?
Anyone know of an epileptic who has done a medical detox and come out the other side.

Always thinking of you guys, Jazwan.

Yeah me..i have sizures from brain damage the brain damage caused from meningitis. I have complex partial sizures "both gran mal seizures and Petty- Mal sizures" those where i convoulse like a min or so "gran mal" those where i space out get totally confused "petty mal". They would get terrible when i was in withdraws they still happend if i was clean or sober but, oxycottin seemed to ALWAYS cause me a major bite my tounge sizure coming down from it where as H rarely did that.
ALSO I HAD NO ISSUE with methadone i did detox from methadone i've been sober 3 years come may 08. Yeah i had sizures on done but, i have sizures off it too i mean they were no worse or more frequent on done

Hi Z G 77
It's good to hear about someone coming off the meth okay. My man has quite a few and they're big gran mal. His face looks like a war zone. He usually breaks something, a part of him not the house although that takes a battering and he takes ages to come out. He's awake and running about or trying to smash windows but he can't talk and doesn't know who he is or anything.
Like you he has them on and off the gear at first the H helped because it reduced the stress and stress increases his fits but as time went on the stress of being an addict made them just as bad. Every time he cuts down he has a siezure - his GP told me the other week that in detox his body will go into meltdown and if his epilepsy reacts badly because of the stress of wds that it could be fatal . He wanted to make that clear to us before he went into detox - I am as you can imagine slightly concerned at this.
I need more info I think his GP wants him to stay on the methadone - hell.
But Zero it is so good to here that someone made it through. Meningitis that's awful more and more students seem to getting it here.
