Well guys!
In my part of the world right now we are snowed in(Central Scotland)I personally havent been to work all week as the schools have been shut and the whole football card is also wiped out for this weekend and although these will be played at a later date i wont lose in wages in the long run though ive no wages this week and its a real s***ty time to have no pay..Still though i,d rather be skint than have to drive in these conditions, the country has pretty much come to a standstill. My x-partner,2 of my kids mum went to the post-office yesterday to gas, electric and to pay some bills and basically to get some cash for herself and they had no money, she was able to get 50,n,that was it so i dont know what others had to do that went in after her as people depend on it for their pensions and benefits etc,i guess there woulda been alot of people in a bit of a panic..Ive also been waiting on mail which is pretty much needed the person who has sent it has been on the phone non-stop wanting a signature and it sent back, she has also e-mailed it to mte but i dont have a printer or a fax though my brother has..He is not really speaking to me though so i,m to stubborn to ask him for a print out.
It just goes to show how much we take everything for granted in our part of the world..Eck
Eck, it's been all over our news. They even showed a satellite shot of your country under all that snow.
That is crazy.
Man, I can't even imagine being that stuck with the kids and all and only able to take out such a small sum. Unbelievable your ex didn't get caught in a near riot.
Do you have milk, bread and eggs? That's the thing gets sold out here immediately prior to a supposed storm. Don't believe we've seen the likes of anything like that though.
Stay safe, Eck. I am sorry your missing out on your work. Of all the times of year as you said. Maybe have to go back to the days of old when the kids all get an orange or apple for Christmas. I have a neighbor who was born in Scottland and he tells us that. Every year at Christmas he'd say "Ya know what we got for Christmas don't ya?" Yeah some fruit. LOL
CALL YOUR BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's the worse can happen?
CALL YOUR BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The snow is a sign for ya to make up. Get that form, sign it, and send it back all via his FAX!
What's the worse can happen? Ya get in a fight?
Wish I could help ya shovel and dig out! Much love to all my friends over there across the pond and about.
****Best thing about this? You're not using. Copping dope in snowstorms was the utmost worse. No school, no Church, no mail, no bank, and still we'd try and try to get the heck out expecting a dealer crawled out of his warm bed away from his woman and big screen TV and weather the snow so we could get our drugs PFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTT. Sick in the snow. I recall it all too well all these years later. Oh yeah and getting pelted by ice by little kids cause they knew we were lousey addicts****

Didnt realize Scotland got such snow! looked at pics on Google. We live in Michigan and get lake effect snow from Lake Michigan so we just had our first snow of the year, a bit late for us
Hey,
I live in central Scotland aswell and it's a total nightmare. All the shops have sold out of tobacco, bread, milk. The whole country really has come to a stand still. It's better today though as there was no snow yesterday or today. But you're right eckie, it does go to show how much we take for granted. It's crazy that other countries that have worse weather conditions can cope, but we can't! It keeps reminding me of the film - The Day After Tomorrow! x

Hey,
I live just outside the Falkirk area.....what a small world!!! :)
Hi Brynda, how are you?? Yeah I was furious when there was no tobacco in my local shop but I did eventually manage to get some after having to walk for 30 minutes!
Trucks do come to shovel/grit, but there was just too much snow falling for them to be able to deal with it. Completely insane. I've heard that we are supposed to get more snow tonight - can't wait...........NOT!!!
