Hi well I'm sober again! Longest time was 7 months I was on top of the world feeling great! Then I got over confident and had a drink thinking I could stop...No...doesn't work tht way when yr an alcoholic, before I knew it I was loaded falling out of a cab and cracked my shoulder...back to square 1 again...so after 2 attempts at rehab...going to my 3rd in January I'm sober now 25 days woop de do...but I feel better learned so much..and I never stop trying...I can give myself tht much...hopefully the 25 days turn into 25 yrs...I know now I can't live this way the rest of my life..cuz it isn't a life especially when u drink alone...never reached out online before..but at this point I'm willing to try anything living in a small isolated town only 2 meetings a week and being the only female there in a room of 50/60 yr old men....it's challenging but the message is always the same alcohol ruins life's....kind of on a rehab high now...I remember feeling this way after my 1st rehab....it didn't last...it's just so hard to imagine never drinking again...it was my life sadly..Rly trying to except tht...any advice how?
Rather than trying to quit for the rest of your life, try history drinking today. And fill your day with some help from others, but also provide help for others--without demanding credit for that.
And consider a twelve-step meeting to build a network and have a place to go.

Hi sam either you want sobriety or you dont . If you want to drink again you will find an excuse if you want to stay sober you will find a reason. Just take it one day at a time.. ... take care...
Hey Sam
happy new year...well sounds like you are way out in the future..how's about just focussing on what you need to do today, might make things seem a little less overwhelming. One day at a time might be a cliche but its a sensible way to live for us alcoholics.

I think you are just out the track. Don't worry man, I like your whole post and read carefully. As a consultant, I suggest you contact with your nearest counseling centre and do some counseling.
