Subutex Tastes Terrible?

my doctor just started me on subutex today.
I put it under my toungue and it tasts so bitter and wierd that it is all i can do not to spit it out. He says he will give me subxone next week.
I hope that it tastes better. does it?
P.S. aside from the taste it the subutex works amaxzing I went from feeling like poop to great in minutes

The suboxone is a orange pill that is not bad tasting at all.

this is not suboxone he has put me on subutex (a white football shaped pill) that tastes like terrible!

It is a small price to pay for the benefits of that pill.

you certainly have that right I just wanted to know if it was normal My doctor says that no one else ever had a problem with the taste. (but he also says he never normally gives Subutex it was just that the pharmicy was out of suboxone

....creedy.....i used to suck mints at first..and mess with the mint under my tongue before i took my subutex....you can,t really taste the bitterness if you do that....robbie..........

you'll get used to it and the suboxone is better but still not great tasting but it is a small price to pay to feel better.

i also had the same problem but with the soboxone the taste was so bad at first that on my first night it actually mad me vomit. but you get used to it and it stops bothering you. also when your dose is lowered and the pills are smaller its not so bad. and i took subutex about a year ago but they didnt work for me and i actually think the suboxone tastes worst, but that might just be cuz i was taking 2mg. pills of subutex, and when i started the suboxone i was taking 8mg. pills. best of luck. thanks folks.... day two and the subtex may taste like poo but it works amazing I can't reccomend strongly enough to those out there who are a slave to getting and counting the pills. I am a loving family man with three wonderful kids. I am so lucky to find a doctor who understands just how difficult it is to "just say no" I am in every other respect a normal person but somehow no matter how many times i went to bed praying for the strength to stop, by 9;00 the next morning I was crushing and snorting delaudids to take the craving away. I was told that the subutex would allow me to stop and it works! I have not had the tiniest craving my only remorse is that I did not do this a year ago.

omg, REALLY? you're an addict and you're worried about the freakin taste of this crap? just be happy you're not dead from your addiction, or worse....and take the stuff.....amazing how we as addicts can blow thru 4 or 5 years of our lives with no regards for ourselves or anyone else, then when all of a sudden we decide to "get cleaned up" we find the silliest crap to b**** about.
