Hi,
As we all as addicts come here for support, either to keep what we have, or look for a way to get clean, or try and give away what we in a recovery program
have gotten from those before us so freely. I think it's important to shine a positive light on recovery. I sat here tonight thinking about all of the negetive posts that have been made in these past months. Some of which were honest debates and alot of them were childish arguments fueled by foolish pride with someone including myself trying to prove our point or point of view on something.

My opinion on some of these issues is it's a big time turn off to the new comer,
or anyone for that matter that just comes here for support or information on getting clean and or sober. If I, for example, didn't already know anything about recovery and read some of this stuff, I'd think, if this is what getting clean turns
people into, than forget it.

This doesn't mean we have to become best friends. But, I don't see any reason why we can't all come here and post without getting in some sort of dig. It also shows anyone new how things can be let go for the greater good. It's all about change so I figure lets put this change we're supposed to be doing into action. Things have been going pretty good here lately and I see no reason why anyone should avoid anyone. For someone to feel like, If I post to that one then this one will get mad, that to me is silly.

I'm hoping we can all help eachother on a positive path through recovery.
We're all addicts, at different stages, in different programs, or none, but we're all
here for the same reason. We may not all like eachother, but we all share a common ground and love for one another. And for those of us that are in a 12 step program to come here and show no signs of maturity by arguing or puttuing someone else down sure isn't setting any kind of example for any program of change or spiritualality in my opinion. "Live And Let Live"

Dear Bob, I see no reason why those practices can't take place. Hopefully all will agree and it can turn into a special place for all to come, learn , share, and grow. With this new attitude, nothing is impossible! We can all do our best to bite our tongues, smile and show our serenity. There is much hope for this board. Especially if we all try very hard. I think most all of us are here for the right reasons and it's time to show it. Maybe we all can't be best friends, and that's okay. But we can be civil and decent and honest. We can encourage a good post and respond to it, even if it isn't one of our favorite people. We can keep any negative feelings to ourselves. Better yet, we can let go of negative feelings. Kindness is contagious. Maybe it we all give it a try, it will just spread and one day we could have the best board ever. To all a good night, Kat

Nicely said, Bob. This Board seems to work best when we don't glorify personalities or approaches, and just stick to sharing our personal experience as addicts. Humility sure helps as well. M.

I agree that it's real important that we don't have nasty post here. Really could be a turn off for the new comer.

Hey Marie, your a very person. How's it going these days? Your posts sound full of life, activity, barbeques and trick or treating...lol. Sounds like you're wearing recovery well. But I know it can be particularly challenging with a family and young kids -- their lives sure don't stop while we get ourselves out of the hole we've dug, eh? (as it should be, of course). Yes, it is hard. The kids dont "stop" just because I want to. I really had to push myself to go trick or treating, really to do just about anything these days without that "fake" energy. I'm just praying that my "real" energy returns soon. Today I get to babysit Kylee, my 11 month old grandaughter. That should be loads of fun!!! She's just learning to walk and loves to tear down everything she can get her little hands on. I love her so much though. I'll just take a nap when she does, cause I already feel pooped and the day has barely begun!!! :o)

As usual, well said and I couldn't agree more! This is the best website out there. Seems that every new person that posts, mentions the love and acceptance they see when they come looking for help and guidance. The people on here are all truely one of a kind and when working together are an unstoppable team! You all impress me so much.

As I said before, you definately have a way of putting things Bob that nobody takes the wrong way...so we can wrap our brains around your words and incorporate them into our lives and live them.

You truly are a strong asset to this board. You really work the program and I find you to be a great example for me. You always keep your side of the street clean, clean house and take responsibility for your actions. I've seen you grow so much and be proactive and not reactive. For me, you are a daily reminder of the program in action and I thank you for that. You are who you are and you don't play games. You are there for the new person and you're always ready for a 12 step call. So, that being said, in this time of reflection for those we'd like to thank, I'd like to thank you for your unconditional support that you give to me and many others. Thanks man!

Marie, and everyone else suffering from a lack of energy. I ordered some vitamin B12 liquid on the internet and it really helps with my energy level. I also tried B12 in tablet form and that helped also. I urge everyone to try it, the drugs really sapped our bodies of vitamins, that and not eating well also.

Thanks for that idea. I have been taking a multi-vitamin, but I sure could use an extra "boost". Oh, BTW, I might even try that energy drink named BOOST!!
Good idea. Thanks so much. I'm going up to the store very shortly to pick up some B-12. I wonder if GNC has the liquid form - is there a difference?

I believe with the liquid form more is ingested into your system and theres less waste. I know I have more energy with the liquid, but the pills worked OK too.

What a great post hon! And so true! I agree 100%. You continue to inspire me as well. Many of you have helped me a great deal along the way. Too many to name. You know who you are!! *smile*. Its nice to see this board not in chaos . God knows we have had enough of that in real life. It is all about change. Some things take longer than others. But as long as we stay clean we got a shot. I also thank God , AA the people in it as well. I wouldnt be alive today without it .
