All by himself, honking high above me, I was concerned because I thought that they usually do not travel alone. Which is a relief because if you think about it, a truly depressed person wouldnot think that way. Instead they would run and hide....wondering if it was going to poop on them.....so in conclusion, with that theory, I must be only mildly depressed.
Anyhoo.......
I came to this board and read and posted a little, it triggered my goose memory, so thanks for being here.
After doing some research, I was reminded about why I come to this message board in the first place and how sometimes I can lead and sometimes I can follow because, leadership is a shared opportunity. I need not be concerned that I do not have anything of value to share, I need not feel guilt when I feel sad and not helpful. I need not feel shame if I don't post. If I do have these feelings in the future, I will make a big effort to remember that honking Canadian goose. LOL
As long as I'm feeling something...I know I'm ALIVE.
I sure get alot from birds.....oh and thank you for the dolphin sharing too, guys, they obviously mean something to you. I got so much from that, as well. Read on......maybe it will resonate with you even further.

Canada Geese don't abandon sick, wounded, or lost members of their flock, and this is only one of their cooperative habits. Flock members alternate in being leaders and followers during the flight. It has also been demonstrated that the constant flapping of their wings helps to keep them all aloft.
This is a powerful totem to contemplate, one which teaches us that cooperation and caring are natural forms of behavior. It teaches us well that when we are in tune with our own inner rhythms we know when to lead, and when to follow. Thus, leadership, instead of being either an exclusive privilege or a burden, is a shared opportunity.

Feeling What We Feel
The dolphin is associated with both the power of breath and with emotional release. These are deeply related.
I have learned that the most important key to growth in all areas is to allow ourselves to fully experience our feelings.
So often we don't like what we feel - pain, anger, grief - and try to suppress unwelcome feelings and emotions. We are, however, only laying the groundwork for long-term unpleasantness.
The feelings we don't like don't go away; they only go underground to create energetic blockages which, if not dissolved, can lead to physical imbalances. Also, when we work so hard not to feel the "negative" feelings we may end up having trouble feeling at all, and lose much of life's joy.
The Breath of Life
On a very basic level breathing is communication with the outside world, and when we feel that the outside world is a source of pain we learn - often at a very young age - to constrict our breathing. The function of the diaphragm, which is designed to help us breathe and feel deeply, becomes suppressed.
By learning to breathe deeply we can begin to learn to feel deeply and to release suppressed feelings. One way to do this is to imitate the dolphin's breathing pattern. It breathes deeply, holds its breath while underwater, then exhales explosively. This is an excellent breathing pattern for releasing tension.
Another important attribute of Dolphin is that it is a mammal who lives in water. Water in many traditions (including that of astrology) is related to feeling and emotion. Dolphin invites us to enjoy water in its physical form and also to swim freely and flow with our feelings.
Emotional and Psychic Growth
Dolphin, a marine mammal with deep sensitivity and compassion, teaches us to flow naturally with our own emotions, thus enhancing our ability to experience joy, laughter, love, and compassion for ourselves and others. The Dolphin essence also can enhance dream recall, psychic growth, and interspecies communication.

nice post, very informative, thanks for sharing!
That said----
What makes you think that just because you don't have something eloquent to say you shouldn't post! Don't you know your mother worries? lol. Seriously, it's not nice to leave your friends wondering why you dissappeared and if you are sick or whatever, you can at least say Hi, nothing to add today....
Or send somebody and email already and they can tell us you are at least still alive!
I oughta know, I'm guilty enough of it myself!
