Anyone see it? They had a mother and daughter who were addicted to vicodin. The mother is up to 30 after 10 years. The daughter was around 15 but is 5 mos pregnant and says she is down to 4 a day. Her first child was born addicted. Two things struck me on this show - first - the pregnant daughter turned down Montels offer to a plush rehab for fear of missing her son -s he is considering a 3 day program they offered. They said they would give her meds - I wonder if they would give a pregnant woman sub. The second thing that really struck me was that the mother said she had a few seizures when she would do a quick detox from vicodin ( when she ran out). I thought it was pretty well established that one would not have a seizure from a drug like vicodin. Perhaps she was doing other drugs and it wasnt mentioned, but Montel asked the question about seizures as if it was a fact and she said yes. Anyone else see it? Any opinions? Thank God they have a daughter/sister who sees their problem and saught help for them.

Hard to believe anyone with that long an addiction would turn down a plush medicated safe withdrawal...

was Montel being nice or was he being really hard on them??

I wish I would've seen that. I've never heard of vic withdrawal causing seizures. Did he have a professional on that wouldn't take everything at face value. Was it the pregnant daughter who turned down rehab? I've heard of them locking people up in jail for using while pregnant. Why were the on the show if they didn't want help?

This was not a rerun. It was on yesterday here in NY at 4:00 (he is on opposite Oprah here). There was no professional on the stage to dispute the seizure statements, but there was someone on the audience from the rehab program. First Montel got tough with her, then he let up. He did suggest to her that protective services could step in - the girl still was deciding if she would even do a 3 day stint. The mother accepted the help. The daughter thinks she has the "will power" to do it herself (this after already giving birth to her first child who had to suffer his first two days of life in withdrawal).

Donna I try very hard to NOT watch those shows but Ill admit I WISH I saw that one.To put out false info(like seziures)can NOT be a good thing right?I wonder if they will repeat the show or something?Im also in Ny so I know Montel was on.

I saw a commercial for(good ole)Dr Phil(yuck)the one where he brought the daughter & the father that killed the girls mother together???WTF is that?What could that little girl get out of that one???

Dr. Phil, Montel, they are all idiots that pander to a very select audience under the premise of "doing good" when in reality, they fake concern, they fake sensetivity and it's all about drawing customer advertsing dollars..they make me sick.

I used to watch Montel but he is a little to sensitive for me. I think he is a little fake sometimes to when he brings on the tears. That's just my opinion.

I do like Dr. Phil. I tape it everyday and watch it every night. He is down to earth, he takes no sh*t from anyone and best of all he is brutally honest. He says what I am thinking " most of the time". I saw yesturday's show about the girl that WANTED to confront her father that had murdered her mother when she was 2 years old.

The older sister will be on today's show to confront the dad. He served like 16 yrs for the murder and has been clean from herion, meth and coke for the past 58 days. He went to rehab because his daughter wanted him to. THE LEAST HE COULD HAVE DONE. Most men in his position wouldnt have even showed up to the show. I am glad he did for his younger daughter's sake. That is what SHE WANTED. It was ashame he walked off the stage yesturday towards the end of the show but the older daughter will rip him a new a$$ on today's show. He deserves it.

I am also going to buy the book Dr. Phil's Ultimate weight loss solution today. Will let all of you know if I lose the 10 lbs I am hoping to lose. Off to the gym I go.

I watched Dr Phil yesterday. the girl was about 22 I think. I was a bit disturbed because he kept blaming everything on his disease. Whenever he was asked he used his addiction as the excuse that he killed her mom...the older sister was 4 at the time of their mama's death and she told about her father torturing their mom. It almost seemed like they would reconcile but ol' baldy jumped in and got the dad pissed off and he walked. I think that they will be doing another show, but who knows?
