A.A. Thought for the Day
We've got rid of our false, drinking selves and found our real, sober selves. And we turn to God, our Father, for help, just as the Prodigal Son arose and went to his father. At the end of the story, the father of the Prodigal Son says: "He was dead and is alive again, he was lost and is found." We alcoholics who have found sobriety in A.A. were certainly dead and are alive again. We were lost and are found. Am I alive again?
Yep...Bob
Me too and I am feeling all those feelings too! Boy, does that remind me I'm alive ~ lol. Sometimes it's not always easy, but it sure beats living in the disease. Thanks for taking the time to post these inspirational readings from the literature of AA.
Hi Bob and VWgirl.
Bob thankyou for your post.
I believe the thing with Alcoholism is it kills you long before you are dead.
But through the grace of God and Alcoholics Anonymous and people such as the both of you which include those on this site. I have been given a brand new life.
God bless
Have a sober 24
