Hi Everyone,
its been a while since my last post, but I wanted to share a treatment that my doc prescribed for me for my vicodin addiction. I am only a 3 x day addict at a 7.5 mg strength - but I could not stop. My awesome doc has me tapering off on this schedule: 3 x day 7.5/mg - 1 week / 3 x day 5/mg - 1 week / this is my first 2 week treatment program. Together with the pills he put me on Welbutrin XL - once a day 1 and a one time treatment dose of Prednizone for a week. I will see the doc again in 2 weeks where he will reduce my dose even more. All I can say, is that I feel much better, have less cravings and feel good about the treatment. I know that so many on this board have been taking vicodin or lortabs in far greater doses than I ever have, but its an option worth looking into. I wanted to share this with everyone because I feel good about the treatment, both mentally and physically. Everyone here is doing such a great job that is commendable. Keep it up and hang in there.
Hey Hummer,
That sounds great, Maybe it will help someone on here. I think it's great you are cutting back with the help of your doctor. Hoping it all works out for you and you can be freed of those pills. Take Care
