Its great aint it!!! Its got to be the best help that I could receive because I coulnt talk to anyone else, family, friends etc!!

I recieved the best advice and its made me so much stronger.

..I've also made good friends on here with people i email or chat to on msn who have turned out to be good friends..they maybe cyber friends but they have given me more support/advice/help than sum of my so called friends i have here in london..that friendship would'nt of happened if it were'nt for this site also..to be honest i think i would of relasped if it was'nt for this site..when i first started posting here back in Dec 05 i came on here everyday for hours at a time as i was suffering from insomnia also..and the support and help i got on here was second to none..even just to sign in here and have a general chat with some peeps kept me from going out and scoring..i know that for a fact..i know we have to have it in ourselves to stay clean wether we use this site or not..but this site has definately played a massive part in my recovery and saved me from myself from going back into active addiction..Robbie..

It is so GREAT to be able to talk about our problems, concerns, accomplishments, etc. on here with people who are experiencing or have experienced the same things. I don't think I could have kept my sanity without this site! I'm here because of my 31 year old son who is a recovering heroin addict but there was no families forum when I came here. When my son first admitted his addiction to me, he told me it was an addiction to pain pills (which is the way he started), so I went to that forum. Then, sometime later, after getting to know a lot of wonderful people over there, he admitted that he was using heroin (this was when we took him to the hospital for some strange symptoms) so I moved over to the heroin forum asking for help to understand what he was going through and met a lot of wonderful people here too, BUT I couldn't just forget my buddies on the pain pills forum who had been there for me. Then they started the families forum, so I went over there BUT couldn't forget about or detach from you guys either. That's how I got involved on 3 forums. ALL are filled with wonderful, caring, helpful, loving people who I have come to love and care about very much and I feel blessed to have met. I thank God that He sent me here in my desperation.

it rocks....... i've found it to be so helpful. I'm very greatful for the board and the people here. At the start of my recovery it was just ENCOURAGING to know heroin can be beat! "in real like i know a ton of addicts not a one but, me has got out". It was great to log on here and tell myself they did I will to. When those cravings struck I'ld log on here everyone would understand what i was going thru. I really respect the advice of those here with more clean time then me.
