THE DONKEY



One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it
off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.


Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.
Live simply and appreciate what you have.
Give more. Expect less

NOW ............

Enough of that crap. The donkey later came back, and bit the farmer who had tried to bury him. The gash from the bite got infected and the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.
They buried him in the well.

MORAL FROM TODAY'S LESSON:
When you do something wrong, and try to cover your a**, it always comes back to bite you

I'm so glad the donkey came back and bit the b*stard! I was feeling all "well what's the point in climbing back out just to live amongst b*stards"!!!!!!!!!

I like it though...I'm gonna step on all this earth...

Nice to meet you as well Rhonda i just thought i would extend the hand of friendship more openly its great to see others from the other boards post on the H board....as you know weve got a lot of great positive folks on here......as you do on the P.P I just think sometimes posts can turn a bit nasty at times on the Pill forum....just my honest opinion.I think Heroin addicts have been thru a different set of life experiances than those who have been addicted to pain pills i.e there Doc.or Doctors being there drug dealer.....or the net for that matter.Addiction is addiction but i think if ya gotta deal with the inherent dangers of iv.heroin use.....and make it to having some clean time you look at the world maybe more cynically or with more wisdom im not sure im ramblin now......i read about one lady worrying bout her precious jewellery.....not that it was gonna get pawned but worrying bout it in general ....well if a heroin addict had that it would be gone in a hot second.I dont mean to offend but i laugh at some of the small stuff on the boards people sweat over.Anyone take care Rhonda.....chat soon.................Davey

I get exactly what you are saying Davey....... I'm not really a confrontational kind of person. I mean if I don't agree with something or someone about some little thing I am not going to call em out. I see someone post and maybe it isn't how I would say it or do it but I'm not going to be b****. I mean if someone is completely BS I will call em on it...usually, but most of the time if it doesn't effect me directly I stay out of it. I'm not making any sense.........maybe you understand what I'm trying to say?.......LOL
In other words........No, what you said didn't offend me and I get it!
I think I need some sleep b/c I'm just rambling on.............
