Edit because my nails are WAY TO LONG and I can't type worth a crap.
27 days and proud as hell!
WAY TO GO JANET. I ALWAYS KNEW YOU COULD DO IT.

That is AWESOME. You should be very proud. Don't you feel better that you don't have to worry about it anymore? you are FREE AT LAST Girly girl!
Yeah, yeah, yeah. What is it? 6 days? This is the first time I haven't kept track of every minute not smoking. I wonder if that means anything?
It is a great feeling. Every time I go to the dr I brag on this Chantix...I'm so glad to be free of a costly and unhealthy addiction!

My stats at quitnet are:

Time Smoke-Free: 27 days, 15 hours, 25 minutes and 16 seconds

Cigarettes NOT smoked: 553

Lifetime Saved: 4 days, 5 hours

Money Saved: $91.56

Kat, you and Cynical are doing great!
Thank you for sharing Janet...you have been a true inspiration and even Kat, too as her moodiness only lasted a few days...I have made an appointment with my doctor to talk about the Chantix and we'll see what happens...So, Dec. 5th at 4pm is my appointment and maybe, just maybe, I could be smoke free before the New Year...

As always Rae, you rock and if I didn't keep seeing these posts and reading, I probably wouldn't have thought more than a couple of times to quit but it is growing on me big time.....

WAY TO GO, STACEY!!!!!
As long as God helps me and I don't kill anyone, it is definately time to try...I had another friend have a heart attack last week as a direct result from smoking and she's my age....the signs are all around....
Good for you Stacey! We will be here for you when you are ready!
Didn't you know? It's ok to commit homicide when you are quitting for the first 90 days.
I didn't know that Kat and thank you for sharing...After I do my gratitude list, I will start a new routine and make a homicide list...I have a few I could test this theory out on today...

Are harassing text messages allowed in the first 90days too? <beg>
Why yes they are Stacey!! Anything GOES the 1st month of not smoking. That includes mean evil text messages.

I was a big ol biat*h when I quit but the good thing is I always am so nobody knew the difference-LOL

I am just so happy for each of you. Finally you are giving your lungs a BREAK. They are thanking you for it and they are repairing themselves from the damage that you've done.

Deep clean breath in your nose and out your mouth..Repeat after me
"NON-SMOKER"S DON'T SMOKE!! Just keep moving forward. There is no looking back now ladies. It isn't an option.

Xoxoxo, Rae ( Non-Smoker since May 8th, 2006)
Day 6 smoke free here!! Today has not been that bad, I really have kept alot busier. Still so strange not buying cigs. I am stashing the money away. Went and bought a bunch of books for me and my mom yesterday, didnt even feel gulity buying them as I am a non smoker and no longer buying tobacco. I feel its really important to treat yourself just a bit everyday as you get further away from nicotine.

that is what finally convinced me that smoking is not an option,

You all have helped make this final quit somewhat more bearable!

I am hosting a total of 17 people for Thanksgiving, this is WAY WAY outside of my comfort zone and would fall into the category of major stress maker for me. I will make it through this smoke free, because non smokers don't smoke and I am a NON smoker! WOOT

It is getting sooooo much easier day by day.

Today is 30 Nicotine free days for me.

Thanks again for all the great support and encouragement rom my fellow non smokers!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Kerry
