Well I just got home from my doctor and begged him not to hospitalize me, I want to try to do this at home with my husbands help. He prescribed Hydroxyzine Pamoate. Anyone ever took this and did it help? Thanks

Thanks for the info but will it help with my withdrawls?
"Hydroxyzine Pamoate is used to treat anxiety disorders and tension in stressful situations".............about as much as anything else.It will be better than nothing.It sounds like it may depress the blood pressure like Clonidine.
Welcome to Attrax....an antihistamine which also works as listed previously for anxiety. Which I take for my allergies as well as panic attacks. I really have no idea if it will help with wd, but my husband did suffer from some anxiety durning wd. I do know that you shouldn't take it for more than 4 months.....
Now I looked into that and found that it has a way of building up meds in your system.....Be careful if you take this with anything else, even OTC stuff or anything herbal.....Ask the phamacists!

Sounds a little like Valium. Or is it Vallium. Also great if you're breaking out.
Sorry, I couldn't resist it. A sedative-type med that is given before surgery is also an effective antihistamine, and can also be used to treat rashes.
That may not seem strange to some folks, but it made my jaw drop open.
Break one in half and see what that does, maybe?

@Mistyeyes I am also looking for information on Hydroxizine Pamoate. I realize that your post hear was many years ago. I tried the link that you had posted then, to no avail :(. Any other sites or suggestions?
