What Is Your Definition Of Codependency?

I've heard this word alot, have some idea of what it is. But can someone tell me what it means to them and maybe give me examples?

I would love to get a book about it. I never have enough alone time to get one or read it. For God's sake, if I read even a mystery book with some obscure title, I'm accused of it having some "special meaning".

So, please, anything you can share with me, I'd appreciate it.
Jodi just google Co-dependency

Jodi can you get to rehab and eventually move away from your home situation.

Your a bright woman.

You said it Jail Institutions or death. Go with the REHAB -You must be willing to do any and everything in your power to get sober.

Do you want to keep living this hell? Aint gonna change until you take the actions. And Jodi its not easy but Oh is it worth it.

You get addicted to recovery. Trust me--get help now.

There is an excellent book called "The Dance of Anger". It's about co-dependancy. I can't remember the author though. If I find it, can I send it to you? For me, it means letting others actions control my own. That's about it in a nut shell kiddo. XXXOOO

suggest you post this question on the Families Board, a lot of discussion about this over there - someone on that board will probably also be able to bump up some old threads on that topic and other related ones.

In fact there's a good thread over there near the top now about Identifying Emotional Manipulators - you might find that one useful.
